Job Description

The Position will be as a Supply Chain operations/logistics analyst that functions within the Supplier Business Operations team. The primary role of the Analyst will be to support multiple areas of the Operations and Logistics team. The functions include supporting our product cost tracking process; spare part E&O program development; creating and managing all aspects of purchase orders to procure parts as required to support the business and maintaining methods, processes, and tools, including the management of monthly pricing processes with Suppliers.

What You'll Do

  • Monthly Quality Tracking/Reporting
  • Leading Weekly Order Status Meeting
  • Manage the Quarterly Scorecard Process: Quality cost analysis/presentation of product configurations.
  • Monthly Supplier Finished Cost(pricing)Process
  • Work with Commodity Directors to implement cost break-in for various commodities.
  • Develop Spare parts Excess and Obsolete Quarterly report by region working with logistics team.
  • Expediting orders as required and escalating with appropriate parties to resolve supply constraints. Managing communication channels with all required parts on order statuses.
  • Working with Logistics group on transportation of product to and from Teradata.
  • Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG): Energy/Greenhouse Gas Calculations/project work.
  • Coordinate, develop, implement, and maintain pricing and cost management methods, processes, communications, and tools.
  • Back up the Demand Planning Manager: understand, learn the role of Demand planning for the business.
  • Cost Basis Negotiation: understand market activities that drives IT pricing (Memory, Drives, sheet metal).
  • Provide business analysis support to Global Supplier/Commodity Teams as appropriate.
  • Provide strategic product/commodity competitive analysis, cost tracking, and analysis/reporting.
  • Research best practices, document, and deploy standard Teradata supply chain tools, processes, and metrics.
  • Provide data and thorough project recommendations to all management to support strategic decision-making.
  • Create and manage Business Objective slides as required.
  • Manage daily reports required by management to be sent to suppliers weekly and report an update on progress monthly.
  • Create and manage purchase orders for spare parts required by our outsourced partner. Including insuring invoices are processed and paid on time.

What Makes You a Qualified Candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree in business/mathematics, Finance, Accounting, operations management (emphasis in Procurement or Supply Chain Management).
  • Five to Eight years Procurement/Finance/Accounting/Pricing experience.
  • Experience in data mining and Statistical analysis techniques
  • Experience with Oracle purchasing modules
  • Daily use and extensive understanding of Excel during current work experience
  • Experience working with complex bills of materials in Product Lifecycle Management systems
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the company: both written and oral capabilities
  • Experience in continual business process improvements

  • Excellent knowledge of Oracle ERP and Microsoft office tools, especially Excel (particularly formulas/VLOOKUP’s/pivot tables)

  • Knowledge of computer industry commodity cost structures and trends
