Principal SRE Engineer

Overview

We’re looking for a highly experienced engineer, to help us build and maintain our hosting and backend infrastructure in AWS.
As a SRE Engineer you’ll work closely with our engineering and product teams to build out the infrastructure, supporting our applications in a secure, scalable and reliable way.

What you’ll do

Framer is a dynamic startup, so your role may change over time. Here’s an idea of the things you’ll be doing.

• Scale out our hosting infrastructure to reliably host millions of high performant websites.
• Deploy and operate highly available, scalable and secure cloud-native solutions.
• Design and implement operational monitoring and logging for performance and security of the platform.
• Design and implement a strategy to prevent and quickly recover from failures.

Your background

• At least 10+ years of working experience in building and scaling infrastructure
• Solid, hands-on experience building and managing AWS infrastructure
• Experience with Docker, and orchestration tools such as AWS ECS, Kubernetes, Mesos, etc.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code through tools such as AWS CloudFormation, GCP Deployment Manager, Terraform, etc.
• Familiarity or experience with modern programming languages and environments, such as JavaScript/TypeScript/Node.js, Go, Shell scripting, etc.
