About the Team Fanatics Authentic provides the world’s largest selection of licensed sports memorabilia and collectibles! Our division is licensed by all the major professional sports leagues, player and team associations, and universities that supply 100% genuine product authentication to our fans. We offer once-in-a-lifetime “Fanatics Exclusive Athlete” event experiences providing fans the opportunity to interact with their favorite athletes at a Meet-and-Greet, Watch Party, Suite Experience, or Chalk Talk/ Q&A session. Our Game-Used partnerships have given us the ability to create the most exclusive products such as player and team gear directly from the arena or field, playing surfaces, and actual equipment.
Primary Purpose This position will require a level of advanced attention-to-detail to merchandise of all products that Fanatics Authentic offers. The Product & Licensing Manager role requires superior communication skills with the Product team within a fast-paced work environment to achieve a common goal as well as a drive to build business.
Duties and Responsibilities oWork closely with the Graphics and Product Merchandising teams on the ideation and execution of new product concepts, ensuring products meet licensing requirements of respective league and Players’ Associations oResponsible for the creation of product assortments for athlete signings including, but not limited to, new product ideation, quantity and pricing decisions and sales analysis/inventory management oWill assist in monitoring sales of unsigned products and assist the Product Merchandising Team and outside vendors on various buying functions oDevelop League and Player’s Association relationships oWork closely with the Product Merchandising team, leagues and internal partners to ensure accurate royalty data is reported on a monthly and quarterly basis. oWork with the in-venue retail and international business teams on growth-driven initiatives across respective business channels oWork with Product Merchandising Team and Order Management teams with a variety of functions, including updating teams on late arrivals and cancelled orders. oCommunicate directly with members of the sales team and be directly responsible for the launch of unique items oWork closely with the Product Merchandising, Sales and Marketing teams on the coordinated launch of new products across the Fanatics Retail Network of websites oWork with senior leadership across multiple departments to begin problem solving various roadblocks throughout the business. oWork with Assistant and Associate level employees on training key processes. oWork well under pressure. This industry is driven by hot ticket items with time constraints to get products on the market. oOccasional assistance with athlete signings may be required. oOccasional travel may be required. oOccasional assistance in the fulfillment center may be required.
Education and Experience Requirements oBachelor’s Degree preferred but equivalent experience also considered oBroad Sports knowledge a must oSuperior communication skills on various levels. Must have articulate speech, proper business writing skills and ability to “listen” to client. oMust have strong customer service skills and be able to comprehend management and league requests. oPossess excellent interpersonal skills to deal with team members and clients effectively. oAbility to consistently meet goals and high productivity levels on projects as set by yourself and/or Department Manager. oAble to work with minimum supervision and capable of self-checking for completeness and accuracy of work produced. oBe organized and detail oriented. oHigh degree of problem-solving skills oAbility to keep on top of your own correspondence. oExpert level mastery of Microsoft Applications and general PC skills (Word, Excel, Email). oGeneral Adobe Photoshop knowledge is a plus.
