Description: We are Lockheed Martin
The Modification Upgrade and Overhaul (MUO) 5th Generation Fighter Planning and Integration team is seeking an entry level or experienced professional with a formal education and strong background in data science and analysis. The successful candidate will join our aircraft modification planning and scheduling effort to improve our data collection and analysis tools; assist in automating aircraft induction event supportability by integrating with multiple data sources; assist in automating various aspects of our Depot Flow Plan (DFP) development effort; convert extrapolated data into effective visualizations; and mature our data extraction techniques and reports.
This role will have a particular focus on applying data modelling and statistical analysis techniques to improve the 5th Generation Fighter Depot Flow Planning process, whereby the candidate will collect various engineering, modification, supply, and program management data from Lockheed Martin systems; develop data analysis tools and reports to aid in planning and decision making; and develop automation tools and reports to aid in planning and decision making; and develop automation tools to aid in visualization and presentation. The selected candidate will leverage strong data analysis skills from every step of the analytical pipeline (collecting, wrangling, cleaning, analysis, visualization, presentation) in order to enhance the 5th generation modification and planning effort. The candidate will also assist in developing and refining key metrics to management to support data-base decisions; and will analyze trends across the 5th Generation aircraft modification process and life cycle to help drive continuous improvement efforts.
The position will report to the MUO 5th Generation Planning and Integration manager; and work within a small team comprised of Data Science Technical Lead and a senior Data Analyst, presenting an excellent growth and mentoring opportunity.
Must be a U.S. Citizen as this position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Occasional domestic travel may be required.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in a Data Science, Data Systems Architecture, Computer Science, Information Technology or comparable data analytical or information technology discipline.
Entry level practitioner able to apply data modelling and analysis techniques to our operations.
Entry level practitioner interpreting, extrapolating and prescribing data to deliver automated reports and actionable recommendations using effective visualizations.
Entry level experience with storing and using unstructured data.
Experienced practitioner in Microsoft Excel.
Desired Skills:
Aircraft maintenance and/or scheduling experience on military or commercial aircraft or comparable aircraft sustainment or supply experience.
Experience using Tableau for story-telling visualizations and user interface mock-ups.
Systematic and critical thinking skills.
Experience using modeling, simulation and forecasting tools.
Entry level programming experience in R, Python, SQL or similar languages.
Entry level experience using various SAP Data Management applications.
Experience with F-22/F-35 IT systems and tools (PDM, ALIS, JTD, LDM, ATLAS, FMDB, MODIFACT, Asset management, VAS, JIRA).
Entry level project management experience in academic or professional setting.
Strong relationship building and stakeholder management skills.
Team player, enjoys working in a collaborative, cross functional, government and industry teaming environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate across different audiences (both data science and non data science personnel).
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
