Position Summary:

• The position is for a self-driven techno-functional quality engineer with infrastructure knowledge who can work in a challenging stores lab environment to develop, test, and debug software changes within the infrastructure interface systems and peripherals.
• The proposed role also requires expertise in the retail domain with knowledge to test peripherals such as point of sale, self-check out and touch computer systems.
• In this role, the candidate would be responsible to understand & develop/maintain automation frameworks that fit into stores, infra devices and application space.
• Knowledge and hand-on experience in system centre configuration manager and Splunk would be very essential and a sure yes for the role.

Mandatory Skills:

• Experience with all phases of software testing including test planning, functional testing, reporting, and regression testing etc.
• Strong experience automation testing tools like TOSCA and selenium.
• Good experience working on Jira.
• Strong experience on creating automation frameworks using TOSCA and Selenium.
• Good to have automation, CI/CD tools using Azure DevOps.
• Good exposure to Retail domain including Point of Sale and Payments.
• Excellent written and oral communication, quick learner and should be able to work independently without much supervision.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Requirement:

• Good knowledge and understanding of software testing life cycle, defect logging and triaging, document detailed test cases, managing time effectively and delivering with confidence so there's no defect leakage in higher environments.
• Knowledge of retail business in the Australian context will help, Infrastructure and Networking knowledge primarily carries the weightage.
• Good automation skills and experience to create tools and simulators/emulators to meet POS and self-checkout requirements.
• Hands-on experience with VMware tools & SCCM toolset for distribution, remote installation & monitoring.
• Hands-on experience in setting up Servers, Switches, Routers, Access Points, PIN pads, Printers, Scanners etc and other environment setups.
• Test, diagnose, debug and fix errors to maintain the integration systems, with constant changes happening with the new architecture using automated scripting tools such as PowerShell, Shell scripts.

Responsibility:

• Work closely with Test Lead and QA team to understand test requirements, draft test cases accordingly, ask right questions, be able to come up with estimations and handle test executions for different systems.
• Using PowerShell, Shell script, Tosca to develop automation scripts to perform validation on Infrastructure components for Point of Sale, Self-Checkout, Workstations, and Windows Operating systems.
• Design, develop and document the new system requirements to support Woolworth's integrated Stores software environment.
• Be comfortable using Confluence, JIRA, SCCM.

Salary Range: $60,000-$70,000
