The Oracle Finance Architect (OFA) will be responsible for ensuring that all financial systems are built to extend and scale. The OFA will own all the financials systems from a technological point of view as well as the complete life cycle of financial systems, from business requirements, through executive approval, program execution, and delivery. This position is considered a key member of the Oracle leadership team.
What you'll be doing
- Develop and deliver the Enterprise-wide solution architecture with Oracle Cloud as the product in the area of Finance (ERP).
- Collaborate with other solution architects for EPM, HCM and SCM to define the cross-workstream enterprise-wide architecture including common reporting/warehousing ecosystem.
- Identifying business requirements and mapping them to the Oracle Application functionality as well as functionality gaps and delivering them through partners and the Oracle functional analysts.
- Responsible for vetting and validating the Configurations and documentations for the Oracle Applications to meet internal stakeholders’ requirements.
- Responsible for validating business requirement documents for reports, interfaces, data conversions and application extensions.
- Assist with the management and guidance of Oracle service requests as needed.
- Interact with the project team members and partners providing status and issue reports to the Project Management Office.
- Responsible for managing the development of reports, interfaces, data conversion programs, and application extensions.
- Define testing scenarios, develop test scripts along with the business users and business analysts and support users with the execution of test scripts.
- Responsible for documenting the business process and solution design.
- Educate business stakeholders about the best practices.
- Manage the development of end-user documentation and training materials as well as deliver end-user training.
- Effectively manage work with multiple stakeholders and manage competing priorities with internal clients.
- Establish strong working relationships with both technical and non-technical members of the organization at all levels.
What we're looking for
- 15+ years’ experience with business processes in finance and accounting including Record to Report, Intercompany, Order to Cash or Procure to Pay including sub-ledger applications configurations that include accounts receivable, accounts payable, purchasing, global intercompany, tax, fixed assets and cash management. Knowledge of cross functional dependencies and impacts related to projects, performance management, payroll accounting, supply chain and manufacturing modules are critical to this role.
- 5+ years working with Oracle Financial Applications and technology in a Solution Architect role.
- Strong accounting knowledge, understanding of accounting principles and platforms.
- Solid understanding of EPM is a Plus.
- Experience working for BIG4 is a Plus.
- Experience with Kyriba and Workiva is a Plus.
- Experience in Retail/Fashion industry with multiple verticals is strongly preferred.
- Experience running Oracle projects is strongly preferred.
- Experience with Organizational Change Management is strongly preferred.
- Strong problem solving, decision making, issue analysis, and resolution skills.
- Strong people management skills
- Experienced communicating with executives and stakeholders
- Experience leading IT initiatives across various methodologies
- Passion for leading and implementing change.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced multicultural global work environment.
- Must be able to manage time, work under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines.
- The ability to work collaboratively across several IT and business functions to gain buy-in to new processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.
