Job Description

  • Initiative delivery:
  • Facilitating medium-to-high complexity initiatives from initiation through release, providing oversight to ensure alignment with RBC Delivery practices, including but not limited to, project kick-off, sprint, release and deployment planning
  • Accountable alongside the working team members for the achievement of project objectives and results that meet LOB stakeholders’ needs and expectations
  • Manage risks to delivery
  • Tracking and reporting financials for the Team
  • Navigating and identifying shared IT services required by the team in the delivery of its objectives
  • Facilitate interactions between 3rd party technical teams in support of the project dependencies
  • Team activity facilitation (medium to large size teams):
  • Facilitate discussion leading to collective decision-making, goal setting and conflict resolution within the team
  • Remove impediments to delivery success through the proactive management of external dependencies, medium-to-high complexity team problem-solving and the development of new solutions or approaches to ongoing challenges; has the authority to execute against new approaches and escalate issues through business and/or IT channels where necessary.
  • Accountable for creating and maintaining the appropriate vehicles for open communication within the project team (e.g. tracker boards, project plan) to create a trusting and safe team environment.
  • Continuously seek to improve team performance by promoting joint accountability for results and solving productivity issues.
  • Facilitating and engaging in business analysis, user experience and technical conversations across platforms and multiple levels of influence
  • Cross-functional Communication: Communicate cross functionally, ensuring transparency of progress and outcomes; Report team progress and accomplishment up and across; Facilitate status updates, product demos and retrospectives.
  • Coaching: Provide proactive coaching to the team and leadership and recommends continuous improvement of processes to optimize team productivity

Job Summary

RBC Bank Georgia, N.A. is a US subsidiary of Royal Bank of Canada with a passion to provide US Banking services for Canadians living, working and traveling in the United States. RBC Bank’s “Cross-Border” solutions are designed to meet the unique needs and challenges Canadians face south of the border including but not limited to the ability to access and link their Canadian and US Banking accounts, perform Cross Border Transfers and leveraging their Canadian credit standing and existing banking relationships with RBC for purposes of obtaining credit/loans in the US. RBC Bank Operations is located in Raleigh, NC.
Operating within the first line of defense (1LoD), this role will oversee Matters Requiring Attention under the Office of IT Risk & Controls responsible for project managing an effective Risk and Control environment for IT in support of RBC Bank’s IT Risk Management Frameworks/Policies/Standards and US Regulatory Compliance. The role will work with other 1LoD team members, stakeholders and 2nd and 3rd Line of Defenses to ensure RBC Bank’s Technology control projects and programs are managed in accordance with their objectives. The role will execute and govern the strategic vision of RBC Bank’s control environment, addressing control objectives and enhancing RBC Bank Technology Risk & Controls as necessary to support an evolving and changing risk landscape. The role will manage project and program scope, budget and schedule as well report on progress of activities to Executive Management. The role will also be responsible for 1st line project management activities and reporting of key Regulatory Matters involving the Office of Currency and Comptroller and The Federal Reserve.
