SIGINT Specialist, Senior

The Opportunity:

As a computer network operations (CNO) specialist, you know that embedded and application developers, reverse engineers, and vulnerability analysts all play key roles in the CNO capability development life cycle. We’re looking for someone like you to flex your problem-solving prowess in a rapidly evolving systems security research and development environment.

As a senior CNO capability development specialist on our team, you’ll support full project lifecycles. Guiding an agile team of professionals, you’ll manage reverse engineering and vulnerability analyses of diverse software problems. You’ll inform operational parameters for complex systems and leverage artificial intelligence and machine learning to influence the delivery of your work. Using your network operations experience, you’ll determine what the art of the possible is and what can be done—and then you’ll bring it to life for your clients.

You Have:

  • 15+ years of experience working in SIGINT analytic roles, focused on performing signals and protocol analysis of VSAT systems
  • 5+ years of experience with C++ programming
  • 3+ years of experience with scripting languages, including Bash, C Shell, Python, or Perl
  • Experience with providing SIGINT engineering support in the areas of access, collection, analysis and diagnosis, and exploitation
  • Experience with evaluating system inaccuracies and defining te chnical requirements for system improvements
  • Experience with determining the effectiveness of capabilities on mission data, identifying te chnical gaps, quantifying risk accurately, and providing mitigation strategies for new and existing agency efforts
  • Knowledge of telecommunications and signals collection architecture
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or Mathematics, or 17+ years of experience in SIGINT in lieu of a degree

Nice If You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience with leadership positions, including the direction of significant development efforts or managing programs and projects requiring comprehensive and innovative te chnical solutions
  • Experience with providing SIGINT engineering support and te chnical assistance specifically to SATCOM systems in the areas of access, collection, analysis and diagnosis, and exploitation
  • Experience with analyzing signals, including waveform and bit stream and protocols, including encryption structure and underlying traffic patterns for cyber- related technologies
  • Experience with signals and protocol analyses and common tools used
  • Experience with establishing and maintaining documentation of te chnical processes and procedures
  • Experience with evaluating collateral data in combination with systems of interest and asso ciated systems to provide actionable intelligence and context needed to integrate new capabilities and functionality into the SIGINT analytic architecture
  • Experience with developing and updating scripts to run analytic algorithms, query and manipulate mission systems, or manipulate data
  • Knowledge of the latest developments in SIGINT collection and processing, computer protocols, and communications te chnologies
  • Knowledge of digital communication framing, hex and byte level manipulation and characterization, channelization, next layer protocols, ports, byte values, and document results in a structured formatted configuration

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $73,100.00 to $166,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
