About the Team: The Ads Sales Team provides best-in-class advertising solutions for large brand advertisers. We are a team of high-energy individuals committed to helping our advertisers connect with GenZ, students and teachers. We provide creative ad programs, strategic data insights, and excellent customer service. Our team plays a key part in Quizlet’s success as the ad programs we develop, sell and deliver keep Quizlet free of charge for millions of users around the globe. About the Role: We are a rapidly growing digital ad sales team hiring a Sales Development Representative to help achieve our revenue objectives. You will work with Account Executives to develop the sales funnel. You will own a critical piece of the sales cycle by identifying and developing leads. You’ll generate outreach strategies, messaging, and schedule meetings with potential clients. This is a position for a go-getter at the start of their career. You have some working knowledge of sales and marketing, are eager to learn more through hands-on experience, and want to grow within a great organization. You’re curious about potential prospect’s business needs and eager to provide helpful solutions, ideas, and information. This is a hybrid role based in our New York office. While you are currently permitted to work remotely in the New York City Area, you must remain able to work in the New York office as business needs dictate and as identified by your manager.

In this role, you will:

    • Work with Account Executives to identify and target new clients who might be interested in Quizlet’s ad programs
    • Gather data and insights to create compelling written outreach materials
    • Reach out to potential prospects via email and social media
    • Respond, engage with, and qualify prospect activity
    • Ensure excellent service and support to prospects and clients
    • Ensure a smooth hand off to Account Executives

What you bring to the table:

    • Experience with Sales and Marketing from undergraduate study, internship or previous job
    • Self-starter who is resilient, likes to hustle and win
    • Ability to handle and adapt to high pressure, competitive situations
    • Interest in sales and willing to learn new things
    • Exceptional interpersonal and problem-solving skills
    • Comfortable with ambiguity, uncertainty, and a rapidly changing environment
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Bonus points if you have:

    • Digital media and brand advertising experience
    • Knowledge of prospecting and CRM tools

Salary transparency helps to mitigate unfair hiring practices when it comes to discrimination and pay gaps. Total compensation for this role is market competitive, including a starting base salary of $60,000 - $75,000, depending on location and experience, plus company stock options
    • This position is eligible for variable compensation of $20,000 of on target earnings (OTE) subject to personal performance and the terms of Quizlet’s applicable plans
