Business Analysis Manager

Job Description

Responsibilities: · Be responsible for building dashboards, using data visualization tools (such as Deepnote and Looker) and responding to data analysis requests from different business stakeholders. · Work with the BI Lead, based in London, when needed to develop and test analytical output and reports to ensure they are usable and accurate before they are published. · Ensure key business questions from functions across DAZN (marketing, finance, strategy, product, operations, customer services) are answered via data and analysis in an organized and timely way. · Ensure that datasets are created which can answer business questions and enable other technical users to query to get answers quickly. If the dataset is not in its most useful state, you will work with data engineers to update the datasets for new analyses, such as new cohort analysis, or to resolve any data anomalies. · Take ownership of analytical projects end to end and provide analytical and valuable insights for decision-making support for key projects and management. · Create key corporate reports (including business trading, functional KPIs and platform performance) will be your responsibility, which includes: ensuring they deliver new and actionable insights, updating with changes defined by business stakeholders, migrating dashboards from existing tools to new ones, data visualisation tooling administration (user access controls, monthly reports on usage, identifying redundant dashboards etc. ), ensuring data governance of reports. · Contribute to commercial business case development for strategically significant assignments · Prioritise requests based on business value, importance, and urgency. · You will apply statistical skills (measures of average, variance, distributions, trends analysis, outlier detection) to analyse data.

Ideal candidates have:

• Some working experience operating in a data analytics function, ideally in media or platform
• Strong analytical and statistical analysis skills in order to extract insights and recommendations
• Experience accessing data through dashboarding tools such as Tableau / Looker / Deepnote / PowerBI / Qlik essential
• Proficient in data warehouse and data analysis i.e. SQL. Python is a plus
• Strong commercial awareness and strategic/business acumen
• Pro-active and have an ability to operate in ambiguous and changing situations with multiple (at times conflicting) stakeholders to deliver results to meet deadlines
• Structured working methods as well as a solution-oriented and pragmatic approach to solve problems
• Strong communication skills across a wide variety of stakeholders in a fast-paced organisation
• Excellent communication and organisational / collaboration skills with ability to work in a matrix type structure
• Willing to listen, try new ideas with a test, learn and adjust mentality
• Fluent in English and Japanese
• Good knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
