Description

Global Events Marketing Manager

We are seeking an experienced, creative and highly organized Global Events Manager to join the marketing team at Skai. Reporting into the VP Marketing, you will own all aspects of our busy events calendar from start to finish—from planning and promotions to messaging and measurement. This includes both sponsored and hosted events—physical and virtual—as well as corporate memberships.

The position is ideal for someone who is strategic, creative and thinks outside of the box—but isn’t afraid to get deep into the details of execution, promotions and logistics. The successful hire will challenge the status quo with new ideas and bring a fresh perspective to our events strategy.

Please note that at any one time you single handedly will be managing 10+ different events in tandem. The ability to multi-task and project manage are essential.

What you’ll do:

● Work with the VP Marketing to plan and manage all events (whether third party tradeshows, large hosted events, small roundtables, client advisory boards, virtual webinars and live broadcasts) from start to finish according to the objectives and target audience

● Bring to the table creative ideas to enhance an event’s success - this role requires you to think outside of the box and do things differently

● Manage and allocate event budgets and ensure strict adherence to them by scoping vendor costs, raising purchase orders and working with Finance to manage payments

● Work with partners such as Amazon Ads, Criteo and Walmart Connect to co-host events in line with their specific requirements

● Coordinate all event operations and logistics, using third party agencies and contractors where necessary

● Lead and execute cross-channel promotional activities for the event, including social media promotions, email setup, website updates etc

● Suggest messaging and agenda ideas in line with the broader marketing strategy and source relevant speakers either internally or externally

● Manage on-the-day logistics

● Forecast, evaluate, measure and report on event effectiveness and ROI, including client education, industry influence, brand and pipeline impact

● Ensure effective and efficient two-way communication between Skai marketing and sales teams.

What you’ll need:

● Minimum 5 years’ marketing experience with some event management experience

● Understanding of KPIs and marketing techniques for corporate event management

● B2B enterprise software / SaaS marketing experienced preferred

● Excellent project management and organizational skills with an ability to prioritize on your own, and delegate tasks when appropriate.

● Proven ability to work in a demanding, fast paced environment and manage multiple programs at one time.

● Ability to think strategically and keep abreast of the latest B2B marketing / event innovations

● Ability to manage budgets and vendors

● Skilled in writing messaging and copy to support events

● Outstanding communication and negotiation ability

● To be excited about meeting prospects and customers in the field with the ability to travel up to 25% of the time

● Customer first mentality - not afraid to say no to internal stakeholders

● A creative streak - not afraid to try new things and take risks
