Know what our users want? Join us and help Spotify give it to them. Spotify is now looking for a Full-Stack Engineer to join our Content Integrity team. This team builds systems that ensure the material on Spotify is legal and meets the standards we’ve laid out as a company. Our team provides the foundational capabilities that allow the business to support new features and content experiences while keeping our users safe, intellectual property protected, and our products compliant. Within this org, the User Reporting team is focused on ensuring customer voices are heard. They create a direct channel for telling Spotify about problems and managing this input. We're looking for a person that has experience with working with stakeholders and translating business needs into technical deliverables. We expect engineers to research, find and propose solutions that solve the problems, not write software only. Come join the band!
What You'll Do
- Design and develop high quality services that are testable and maintainable.
- Develop our tooling web application to deliver new features that are aligned with designs from our UX designer.
- Build and operate infrastructure, toolset and deployment pipelines with a focus on service and web application availability and scalability.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering Managers, Software Engineers, Product Managers and Designers within and beyond your team.
- Take operational responsibility for the services that are owned by your team, including taking part in an on-call rotation.
- Work in a transparent environment that supports your individual growth.
Who You Are
- Experience with modern web development with React and related technologies in this ecosystem; TypeScript, JavaScript, webpack etc, as well as designing and developing backend applications in Java.
- Comfortable working closely with a UX designer to help bring their designs to life through your code.
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and are proficient in SQL.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP and are comfortable working in these environments.
- Experience in relevant data communication strategies such as HTTP REST, gRPC and message queues.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and can communicate your ideas clearly.
- Excellent communicator in spoken and written English.
