The Cloud IAM Engineering and Enablement organization builds robust and resilient auto-scaling platform solutions for hosting Splunk\'s enterprise software. The teams are fast-paced, high-velocity, and use state-of-the-art technology. The focus is on automation, solving complex challenges that span across multiple groups within Splunk, ensuring smooth and expedient services to Splunk users, sustaining rapidly growing operations in a scalable manner while building out for new opportunities as well.

About the role

Seeking an exceptional detail oriented Team Manager with a passion for improving processes and for enabling the business through leadership of engineering and support personnel. The Cloud IAM team is responsible for providing end-to-end access for several compliant cloud environments. This team is responsible for gating access to cloud services, ensuring correct security posture and compliance adherence to these services and, and ensuring internal customer support is at the fore-front of every decision. We are looking for a manager who has a track record of executing against OKR initiatives affecting multiple organizations within the company. Mentorship (direct or indirect) is a top priority for this manager – identifying leaders and enabling career growth for such individuals is vital for the team’s success. This manager should be a problem solver and will have experience in quickly addressing problems, while working alongside the engineering team, on long-term solutions that contain automation at the core. Good communication is the key to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the internal customer experience with flexibility and urgency
  • Work closely with the engineering and support teams to allow the organization, creation and completion of OKR initiatives with security best practices at the forefront
  • Collaborate with partners across the company to ensure alignment with security policies.
  • Develop and maintain compliance process policies, procedures, and standards
  • Ensure the replacement of manual process with automation wherever possible

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, and at least two years of experience in leading and developing a support or engineering team, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated ability in technical/engineering role
  • Solid grasp of compliance activity and/or frame-work
  • Experience with IAM tools and techniques
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lead multiple projects simultaneously

Note: Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out below, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.

Base Pay Range

SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro, and New York City Metro Area

Base Pay Range: $147,200.00 - 202,400.00 per year

California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), Washington DC Metro, and Massachusetts

Base Pay Range: $132,000.00 - 181,500.00 per year

All other cities and states excluding California, Washington, Massachusetts, New York City Metro Area and Washington DC Metro Area.

Base Pay Range: $124,000.00 - 170,500.00 per year
