The Snowflake Marketplace builds on our Secure Data Sharing functionality to be the ‘AppStore for Data’. It enables Providers and Consumers to publish/discover and monetize data and data services. Providers on the Marketplace use Data Sharing as the means to deliver their data or service, replacing traditional delivery methods such as files and APIs. Data Sharing and the Marketplace play a key strategic role in our Data Cloud vision and drive the network effect of the Data Cloud!

Our Marketplace organization is seeking a Business Development Associate with specific experience in the Financial Services space to help in the efforts to build out Snowflake’s provider network. Reporting to the Head of Financial Services Marketplace you will have a unique opportunity to work for a proven business builder. In this role, you will strategically plan and deliver a cross-functional strategy while engaging with new and existing Marketplace Partners.

We are looking for individuals who understand the data partner ecosystem, Financial Technology ecosystem and how to grow and manage a Content Business. In addition to recruiting and enabling partners, you will be responsible for the creation and management of the Go-to-Market.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL GET TO:

• Create specific plans that concentrate on Financial Services provider Marketplace listings or content and how it pertains to products and services, and the supporting business models
• Develop partner-specific account plans to include annual & quarterly goals, marketing support, product requirements, etc
• Work cross-functionally with the Snowflake Financial Services Industry Team on promotion and adoption of current and provider products and services
• Work as a liaison between account teams and our data providers helping build connections while assisting in trial discussions, contractual question, etc
• Present the snowflake marketplace to data buyers within financial services and help drive monetized transactions on platform
• Provide feedback on industry specific improvements to Marketplace product

ON DAY ONE WE WILL EXPECT YOU TO HAVE:

• 3+ years of industry experience with direct data selling or data partnership experience
• Background in Financial Services Technology
• Strong verbal and executive presentation skills
• Strong business and financial acumen
• Proven self-starter with a high degree of initiative
• The ability to measure and report on the success of your business
• Proven history of working in a matrix environment
• A Bachelor’s Degree
• The ability to travel up to 25% *once work-related travel resumes

The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role:

• The estimated base salary range for this role is $128,000 - $189,700.
• Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake’s bonus and equity plan.

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
