Catawiki is split into 4 business units: Luxury, Collectables, Arts and Interiors. The Arts department tailors to art lovers who want to own a piece of history or have a contemporary artwork, to reflect their unique personality. The Interiors department serves aesthetic lovers who want to embellish their homes with one-of-a-kind design pieces and decorative items. Our Art and Interiors audience share many synergies and passions. Both departments are growing fast and we’re looking for a Communications Manager who can support both divisions in their ambition to continue to grow their credibility, awareness and engagement within the B2B and B2C art and interiors world.

As our Arts & Interiors Communications manager you will be responsible for driving and implementing key communications activities focused on Fine Arts, Decorative Objects and Furniture. Reporting into our Director of Communications, this role involves seamlessly shifting from creating pitches and press releases, to engaging media outlets and working on high visibility cross-functional marketing campaigns and partnerships.

Ensuring we use data in all of our activities will also be an integral part of your role. Within this role you will also play a key role in advising both the Arts and Interiors departments in their activities, ranging from auction themes, to partnerships, events and strategies.

What you’ll do:

• Build strong relationships with key Arts, Design and Interiors journalists across our key markets;
• Write news releases, pitch media opportunities and secure top tier media coverage for Catawiki’s Arts and Interiors departments - with a focus on France, Italy, Germany and the Benelux.
• Manage proactive communications campaigns from A to Z;
• Work with the wider Marketing team and Arts & Interiors departments to develop campaigns, activations, partnerships and provide advice where needed;
• Continuously spot opportunities to further enhance Catawiki’s positioning and awareness with potential users and the Arts & Interiors community;
• Report against KPIs and manage tracking.

Who you are:

• A minimum of 5 years experience in PR and the Arts & Interiors world;
• University degree in communications, journalism, media, Arts & Interiors or related fields;
• Incredibly passionate about our mission and goals;
• Creative, an innovator and an ability to think big;
• Hard working, hands-on and pressure resistant. Owner mentality and a willingness to roll up your sleeves, dive deep and get the job done in an ambiguous environment;
• Results-driven and understand the importance of reporting against KPIs;
• Professional level of writing and editing skills required;
• Existing relationships with leading Arts & Design journalists is required;
• Global or multi-country operating experience is a plus;
• Bilingual in French, Italian, German, Dutch or Spanish is a plus.
