Job Description

Eaton’s Corporate Sector is currently seeking a Project Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Beachwood, OH location with relocation being available. Flexible hybrid work schedule from Beachwood, OH.

Position Overview:

Global Financial Services & Systems (GFSS), has an immediate opening for a project manager on the Projects and Testing PMO. This position is responsible for managing significant global transformational, improvement and productivity projects as well as support of technology and communications platforms within the Global Financial Services & Systems function.

In this function you will:

  • Lead large strategic projects and the development of global finance transformational initiatives and programs. Develops playbooks, processes, and methodologies to be rolled out to all of Eaton’s global regions, institutionalizing the process and project management knowledge in Eaton.
  • Manage waterfall and agile projects using PROLaunch, Eaton’s project management methodology, and related tools
  • Effectively communicate with our internal customers and at all levels of our global finance team to provide updates on development of transformational program processes, project status, risks, issues, and mitigation steps to ensure completion of projects per project timelines, and budgets with quality.
  • Manage relationships with outside partners, including system integrators, software providers, consultants, contract resources, etc.
  • Analyze financial processes, and facilitates writing of business requirements, communication plans, test plans and project plans.
  • Define roles/responsibilities and aligns/manages internal & external resources globally to achieve project deliverables, including GFSS customers, database administrators, IT staff and software vendors.
  • Resolve project issues, including researching and recommending solutions for the design, development, and security on projects and processes.
  • Coordinate across disciplines and countries to implement standard systems and processes that ensure the ongoing successful operations.
  • Establish and tracks project metrics, and performs benchmarking, to improve the metrics processes.
  • Champion PROLaunch and project scorecard measures, collaborating with other project managers to standardize and leverage best practices
  • Manage, improve, and champion innovation within the GFSS organization.
  • Maintain security and data integrity within the financial systems supported by the Global Financial Shared Services

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Information systems from an accredited institution
  • 11 years of varied accounting, information systems, finance, or shared services experience
  • 6 years of strong, proven financial software project management success
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA/CPA/CMA/PMP preferred
  • Experience in quality initiatives, value stream mapping

  • Strong PC skills (Microsoft – Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Word)
  • Oracle and SAP Financial Systems experience
