In this role in our commercial finance team based in Milan, you’ll get to work collaboratively across multiple functions to deliver high-quality outputs that enable the correct business decisions to be made by the leadership team. You will be responsible for providing financial control and analysis to DAZNs subscription revenues and our tiering. You will be business partnering the commercial teams working across all of DAZN’s live rights agreements and you’ll also own the timely reporting of financial analysis & control. In addition, you’ll be responsible for setting long term financial goals, budgets & forecasts, supporting internal stakeholders, monthly reporting and assessing new opportunities. As our new Senior Finance Analyst, you’ll have the opportunity to:

    • Own budget and planning cycles, forecasting funding requirements and provide key reporting and insight for Senior Leadership
    • As an excellent communicator, you will leverage relationships across the finance function and wider business to concisely explain complex business issues and ensure outputs
    • are delivered to deadline
    • Aggregate Italy P&L, Cash Flow and KPIs and production of budget/forecast materials for the Senior Leadership & Board
    • Produce weekly and monthly Finance and Board updates, covering performance reporting across financial and other key performance indicators
    • Ensure our forecasting tool PBCS stays up to date with latest the business structure and share best practices across the commercial finance function
    • Challenge existing processes and drive forward efficiencies & improvements
    • Cover ad hoc queries from Senior Leadership
    • Commercial Support
    • Strategic business partnering to the content acquisition teams.
    • Financial Planning & Decision Support
    • Develop and review the long-term plan, annual budget and quarterly forecasts of both financial and non-financial performance.
    • Working closely with the senior management team to assess new opportunities.
    • Management Accounts
    • Preparation of the monthly management accounts; explaining variances to forecast and budget presenting detailed revenue and cost analysis to deliver insights into the business.
    • Drive Improvements
    • Through insightful analysis the candidate will be expected to make suggestions and action remedies to improve the operational performance of the division.
    • Ad Hoc Reporting
    • DAZN is a fast-moving environment, and the successful candidate will be flexible, extremely organized and able to prioritise. Due to the nature of the business and the growth expected in the division being able to keep on top of the workload and manage effectively will be a considerable challenge.
    • Financial Stewardship
    • The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring policies and procedures are followed across the region. It will also include control of costs by ensuring they are appropriately tracked and do not exceed targets set.

You’ll be set up for success if you have:

    • Hands-on, pragmatic, can-do attitude, self-motivated and ready to challenge the status quo and make improvements where needed
    • Demonstrated ability to influence decisions through effective verbal and written communication, logical reasoning, and the presentation of alternatives
    • High attention to detail, comfort with ambiguity, and an ability to work independently with a high degree of autonomy
    • Prior FP&A experience in a global, multi-layered organization, with a successful track record of working in pressurized environment with tight deadline.
    • Experience with cash flow modelling and the ability to improve and streamline Group outputs and processes
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyse data and concisely present key messages
    • Strong excel skills with experience using advanced formulas and functions like SUMIF, VLOOKUP and SUMPRODUCT. Ability to project manage and work collaboratively and effectively across finance and commercial teams
    • Experience working in an online subscription, media, tech or sport business
    • SQL experience is a must in this role due to the large data set from which the main data needs to be acquired and analysed.
    • Qualified accountant with a background in FP&A (financial planning and analysis)
    • Team player with the ability to work cohesively and effectively with a range of colleagues
    • Strong commercial acumen
    • Extremely organised
    • Fluent in English, both verbal and written

    • Knowledge of online subscription services and consumer electronics
    • Experience working in an international media or sports business, with multiple teams and stakeholders
