Job Description
Regional Cloud Sales Executive
Open for any of following locations : UK, France, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, Spain
The Regional Cloud Sales Executive is a senior level management position that leverages public and private Cloud technical knowledge to promote sales of Teradata analytical solutions, as well as defining messaging and marketing positioning for these offerings within the Region . This role requires management and working with focused, and cloud-proven team to be cloud blackbelt sellers with in each region: and a focus on increasing Teradata’s cloud sales funnel. It also requires broad knowledge of deployments around public Cloud providers (preferably Amazon Web Services and Azure), as well as the Big Data, data warehouse and analytic space, and experience with Teradata products and technologies. This role must articulate Cloud analytical ecosystem architectures and trends while providing technical consulting as a trusted advisor to support sales activities.
- Collaborate very tightly with regional, geography/industry leadership to identify and build cloud migration plans for: customer interest generation, business case build out, POC, and commercial deal closing.
- Drive cloud migration plans at scale through all account plans and act as a coach and facilitator on elements within their sphere of influence.
- Work in tight collaboration with the WW Cloud Blackbelt Architect team to progress and close key cloud deals, and ensure that the cloud playbook is utilized at scale across each region
- Work closely with the WW Alliances and Partners team to leverage partner relationships across CSP’s, SI’s, ISV’s, and resellers to progress cloud deals
In this role you will be responsible to collaborate with industry leadership to help build out and drive cloud migration plans and drive cloud migration plans at scale across all account plans for with a focus on developing, coaching and facilitation on elements within your sphere of influence. The main focus is improving field confidence selling Teradata’s cloud solutions. Program initiatives range from field skills development to targeted sales initiatives in Alliances & Partners to new product launches, spanning the entire Go-To-Market organization.
You must be a motivated self-starter and excellent communicator, excited to work with cross-functional team members and sales account teams to collaborate and execute against a program scope.
Key Responsibilities
- Spends time in front of customer executives as a key advisor, articulating high level value propositions around Teradata’s cloud solutions
- Develops architectures and best practices for deployment of Teradata analytical ecosystems on public Cloud providers such as AWS and Azure
- Educates sales teams on the latest developments around Teradata Cloud solution offerings
- Understands and communicate customer-specific value of Teradata solutions customer interest generation, business case build out, POC, and commercial deal closing
- Work in tight collaboration with the WW Cloud Blackbelt Architect team to progress and close key cloud deals, and ensure that the cloud playbook is utilized at scale across the region
- Work closely with the WW Alliances and Partners team to leverage partner relationships across CSP’s, SI’s, ISV’s, and resellers to progress cloud deals
- Creates client interest in Teradata Cloud solutions, advancing the sales process close key cloud deals, and ensure that the cloud playbook is utilized at scale across each region
- Sync regularly with account team leads, executive account directors, and area Vice Presidents to discuss account strategy and future sales opportunities
- Support cross-functional global cloud program development efforts in support of company strategic & operational planning goals
- Drive the development and rollout program materials & documentation, including high-fidelity presentations, recordings, and customer-facing materials
- Identify the order of importance and urgency among individual projects, portfolios and operational tasks to plan milestones, schedules and resources
- Drive major decisions, identify and eliminate risks and blockers, communicate program status to stakeholders and leadership
- Build and maintain effective relationships with resources, partners, colleagues and leaders with accountability for delivering on commitments and partner needs
Key Attributes of Success
- Ability to clearly communicate complex ideas
- Deep technical understanding of deploying analytic systems in the Cloud (preferably AWS and Azure)

- Knowledge of the larger competitive landscape
- Operational rigorous with attention to detail to turn strategy into plans and plans into execution.
Basic Qualifications
- 7 years or more of sales experience in the space
- Client interface and consulting skills required, with special focus on clear communications
- Experience in Executive communication sessions
- Experience with “on-premise to cloud” migrations
- Experience operating solutions built on AWS and/or Azure
- Significant experience working with advanced analytics professionals
- BS in Computer Science, or comparable experience
