We are looking for a Senior Benefits Analyst Contractor to perform various tactical, analytical, and administrative duties related to managing and coordinating our benefits, wellness, and compliance programs in the US, Canada, and EMEA. In this 6-month contract role, you will support and implement benefits and programs that help us be competitive and aligned with our total rewards strategy. In addition to benefit program administration, you will also participate in projects related to our Workday to Oracle implementation.

What you'll do:

  • Administer US and Canadian company benefits/wellness programs, including but not limited to medical, dental, life, and disability insurance, 401(k), and other ancillary benefits. This includes vendor management, annual open enrollment, invoice reconciliation, purchase order processing, and data audits
  • Administer US and Canadian leave of absence management and workers' compensation claims management
  • Analyze market data to support the design, development, and administration of benefit and wellness programs; provide analytics to support various projects
  • Assist in ensuring company compliance with HIPAA and provisions of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) via research, reporting, auditing, and collaborating with internal/external department and supplier contacts
  • Take Responsibility for annual non-discrimination testing and 5500 filing
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with benefits brokers, vendors, and consultants; ensure that the administration of plans is working effectively
  • Provide information to employees and managers on all benefit-related questions; resolve all employee benefit issues/problems
  • Assist with the preparation of employee benefits booklets and other employee benefit communications; attend meetings that are related to benefit & wellness duties
  • Develop communication tools to enhance understanding of the company's benefit, wellness, and compliance programs
  • Complete assignments as an overall HR utility player, supporting HR initiatives like culture club activities and other programs that may arise
  • Document benefits administrative processes as needed
  • Partner with the HRIS team to maintain, audit, and update employee total reward data
  • Be responsible for tasks that are often unstructured and where the issues addressed are less defined, requiring new perspectives and creative approaches

What you'll bring:

  • 5+ years of global (US, CAN & EMEA) benefits and compensation experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong knowledge of health and welfare benefit programs, including medical, prescription, and health savings accounts
  • The ideal candidate will be a proactive contributor and subject matter expert
  • Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills, including look-up tables, pivot tables, and graphs; Workday experience preferred; MS Office Suite
  • Solid understanding of the need for confidentiality in maintaining integrity internally and externally with HR data. Very detail oriented, with a high level of accuracy and the ability to detect inconsistencies in data
  • Demonstrated project and time management skills
  • Experience working with HR databases
  • Strong and proven analytical skills
  • Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization, including remote areas
  • Excellent written (able to compose and edit internal communications) and verbal communication (can work across functions and with various levels of management)
  • Bachelor's degree required
