Job Description

KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Specialist to join our Federal Advisory practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Translate advance business analytics problems into technical approaches that yield actionable recommendations across multiple and diverse domains; communicate results and educate others through design and build of insightful visualization, reports, and presentations
  • Plan, document and perform operations to prepare data for analysis (e.g., data cleansing, data integration, data transformation), including prepare tables and datasets by building data pipelines to pull together information from data tables; integrating, consolidating and cleansing data; and structuring it for use in analytics applications
  • Responsible for data requirement gathering, data profiling, data mapping, data provisioning, reporting requirements definition, reports and dashboard development, report testing and deployment
  • Rapidly learn and understand client business processes by reviewing technical documents, business catalogs, white papers and deep dive into KPMG's client data to better understand the relationship between datasets, client systems and data sources
  • Contribute in developing dashboards, UI and interactive tools to support clients to turn their data into actionable insights and reproducible reports

Qualifications:

  • Minimum three years experience in business intelligence, designing and developing analytical applications and performing data analysis and data modeling; U.S. Federal government consulting experience
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Experience with hands-on developing with visualization tools - Tableau or Qlik (preferred)
  • Experience with programming languages (Python preferred) with the ability to pick up new languages and technologies quickly; ability to rapidly ingest, transform, engineer, and visualize data for both ad hoc and product-level (e.g., automated) data & analytics solutions
  • Proficiency in developing complex SQL queries
  • Knowledge of best practices in analytics, exploratory data analysis, data wrangling, data visualization and ETL
  • U.S. citizenship required and an active U.S. Federal government Secret security clearance
