This role is responsible for helping to secure Ancestry’s systems, network infrastructure, endpoints, services, and data in a cloud environment.

What you will do...

• Use different tools to track and generate analysis reports and present to upper management under the context of security.
• Completed a Degree in related field such as Cyber Security, IT, Computer Science any any other technical degree.
• Able to read code
• Automate compliance controls for NIST, SOX, PCI and HIPAA compliance for audits
• Target and investigate anomalous events across the platforms and coordinate response with IT
• Experience with AWS/Cloud
• Create and maintain engineering documentation to meet compliance requirements

Who you are...

• Posture of learning and interest in Security
• Experience in code development, scripting, automation, or IT related.
• Experience in operational or security engineering roles
• Basic understanding of AWS services such as VPC, EC2, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Lambda, Config, Service Catalog, Route53, RDS, Kinesis, S3)
• Experience with one or more of the following programming languages Python, Ruby, Powershell, Terraform Bash
• Containerization technologies such as Kubernetes / Docker / LxC / Fargate
• Knowledge of code management tools; ideally Github / BitBucket
• Basic understanding of security models surrounding encryption, authentication, authorization and access controls
• Understanding of modern database models (SQL and NoSQL)
• Some experience in one or more security solutions (Qualys, Divvycloud, Aqua, CrowdStrike, ELK, AWS Inspector, AWS Config or similar
