As the Developer Tools QA Manager, you will be responsible for Magic Leap's Developer Tools QA Organization, leading multiple QA Engineers onshore and offshore. You will be a thought leader, influencer championing best practices within the QA Organization. You will own & drive the Software Quality process and execution, while working closely with the SW Engineering teams. You will be interfacing with the Magic Leap Developer Tools Software teams, SDK and Product teams, SOC vendors, partners and customers building solutions on the Magic Leap platform, and contributing to the product delivery at Magic Leap.

Responsibilities:

• This is a leadership role, managing a team of DevTools QA Engineers onshore and offshore
• Lead the QA process with the best Agile practices, within the SDLC
• Lead multiple component areas owning the QA responsibilities of Magic Leap DevTools
• Work with the business, product, UX and SW engineering teams across the company, set & deliver the vision for the validation and verification of Developer Tools which interface with ML devices
• Set the objectives for the QA Organization and create goals aligning with Magic Leap’s business direction
• Review test plans, execution, automation and the continuous improvement of the overall testing process
• Provide estimates, technical recommendations, reviews of the Product development plans and Sprint plans
• Build the QA organization through recruiting, coaching and mentoring

Preferred Qualifications:

• 10+ years of SDLC experience, with QA specialization
• 10+ years of team management experience
• 5+ years of experience in automation testing integrated with the CI/CD pipeline
• Deep proficiency in Quality Engineering and Automation
• Strong experience in testing full software stack, on custom hardware
• Experience with XR/AR software development, APIs, standards and frameworks
• Prior experience working with UX teams, SOC vendors, partners building applications using platform SDK
• Past experience championing Agile methodologies, TDD, within a larger mature Software Organization
• Strong verbal/written communication skills including presentation to senior leadership
• Experience in Android OS, Framework and Applications is a plus
• Familiarity testing linkers, simulators, debuggers in Embedded Systems & Mobile Systems
