Become a member of EES's Technical Services Group. You will be responsible for contributing to our internal automation platform with new tools and automation in order to better support our internal and external customers as well as the business.

Duties and responsibilities are, but not limited to:

Technical Implementations:

· This role requires a broad skillset/understanding of systems and networks; it is heavily focused on implementation of solutions in these areas using tools such as Ansible, Packer, Laravel, MongoDB and source control.

· You will be responsible for supporting all consumers of our automation on a day-to-day basis and additionally contributing to the improvement of existing tools, creating new tools, and extending our automation.

· Troubleshooting failed deployments in order to determine the root cause.

· Improve stability of deployments by implementing fixes to automation based on root cause in event of a failure.

· Identify areas of improvement including deployment time, approach to automation at certain stages, resource consumption, and additional tooling.

· Help to maintain and improve our golden images in multiple platforms.

· Researching and implementing new technologies relative to our automation platform and needs of the business.

Support for Internal/External Clients:

· Providing deployment and troubleshooting support for both internal and external client automation/deployments.

· Implementation of new features based on needs of internal/external clients.

Qualifications

· Skills/Experience with tools such as Ansible, Packer, Laravel, MongoDB, Vagrant, Jenkins, Chef, Puppet, Vault, GIT, and VSCode.

· Knowledge and skills in Computer Systems and Networking - Server OS (Windows or Linux), TCP/IP Windows Environment (ie DHCP/DNS/Subnetting/Active Directory).

· Basic understanding of the OSI Model and the ability to conceptualize which layer(s) you are working in.

· Conceptual understanding and/or experience in as many of the following -

· VMWare vSphere (or Workstation) platform - VM, VM Templates, Network/Portgroups, Datastores/vSAN, Oversubscription

· AWS platform - AMI, EC2 Instance Tenancy/Type, EBS (gp2/gp3/io1/io2/etc), EBS Snapshots, Dedicated Hosts, S3, etc

· Basics of virtualization (Hypervisors (ESXI/AWS Nitro), Oversubscription, storage/deduplication)

· Ability to identify areas in need of automation or improved efficiency and assist in its implementation by using the tools and technologies described above.

· Good written communication skills
