How you will make a difference:

Engineering at Iterable is responsible for the core platform used by our growing customer base. Making this platform easy to use and attractive for non-technical users is extremely important. Our Engineering team works closely with Product, Design, Infrastructure, and SRE to bring next-generation marketing solutions to our massively-scalable platform. As part of the Mobile team, our mission is to make mobile integrations as seamless and effortless as possible in order to grow our mobile footprint as the team responsible for all aspects of the mobile experience of the Iterable product.

Position Details:

• Own the iOS and/or Android SDKs and associated functionality
• Design intuitive and performant APIs
• Participate in code reviews
• Ship code on a daily basis
• Architect and develop solutions to scale a complex platform that reaches millions of users
• Collaborate with frontend, backend, product, and design to conceptualize and build new product features
• Provide direction for your team and guide standards across the Engineering organization
• Improve Engineering processes, tooling, and efficiency
• Mentor and guide team members

We are looking for people who have:

• Relevant industry experience building production-ready, scalable web applications
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (ideally Scala and/or Java)
• Extensive experience with Elasticsearch and/or other relevant technologies
• Ability to facilitate discussions within your team and cross-functionally
• A desire to be part of a values-driven Engineering team
• Passion for learning -- always improving yourself and the team around you

Our Technology Stack :

• Programming Language: Swift, Objective-C, Kotlin, and Java
• Databases: Elasticsearch, Postgres, Redis
• Infrastructure: Pulsar, Kafka, AWS
• Other Relevant Technologies: Docker / Kubernetes, React, ReactNative, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Flutter

The Ideal Candidate Will Be/Have:

• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Strong knowledge of mobile platforms and frameworks
• Expert knowledge of Swift and/or Java (Android)
• Solid computer science fundamentals (threading, memory management, and speed)
• Advanced experience with the iOS and/or Android toolchain
• Experience building public-facing APIs and SDKs
• Passion for learning and always improving yourself and the team around you

Bonus Points:

• Examples of shipped applications on the Google Play Store or Apple App Store
• Experience with mobile build systems/automation
• Experience with testing frameworks
• Experience with ReactNative
• Involvement in the mobile developer community
• Experience working with the AWS stac

We’ve rethought traditional workplace planning and are looking to strengthen belonging, innovation, productivity, and happiness whether it’s in an office, from home, or a hybrid of the two. As such, we've moved to a single geographical compensation band for all of our employees (the San Francisco Bay Area market for the US, London for the UK).

For Colorado-based employment: The minimum salary for this position is $191,100/year. The compensation package includes equity, plus a range of medical, dental, vision, financial and other benefits. Additionally, perks such as daily paid lunches and generous stipends for health & fitness and learning & development, among others, are included.
