Job Description
Here at Splunk we’re building a one-stop shop destination to help enable and
empower internal Splunk sellers and partners and guide them on their
journey to success.
The Sales Excellence Delivery SME on the Global Field Enablement (GFE)
team has the following goals:
1. Accelerate seller productivity by being a sales subject expert providing
real-world training based on actual software or Saas sales experience
2. Train, mentor, and coach new hires to quickly become “street-ready”
sellers by sharing personal customer stories, examples, and best
practices
3. Be a credible source of truth to sellers for Splunk sales competencies
4. Getting the sales people to their quota faster
Responsibilities:
● Deliver Splunk credible sales standard processes and bring forward subject matter expertise during live and live virtual sales new hire onboarding program and sales leader essentials
● Conduct coaching and mentoring session for new hires at request or as needed based on gaps
● Partner with Global Program Managers and operations team on onboarding delivery
● Responsible for supporting major ongoing global sales programs like SKO and Sales Leader Alignment Meeting
● Align with geo based GFE teams to support in-theater enablement programs and new GM model
Requirements:
● 15+ years credible real-world software or SaaS sales experience (Splunk or Other)
● Be located somewhere in the AMER region to support the new GM theater based model
● Able to deliver and support global time zones
● Able to travel domestically and internationally as needed once it is safe to do so
● Has successfully driven complex sales cycles● Understands SaaS selling skills and trends
● Has used and has clear understanding of different sales methodologies (MEDDPICC, Challenger, etc.)
● Can model essential sales skills and behaviors
● Can communicate customer value and outcomes tied to Splunk solutions
● Has personal experiences and stories that model successful and failed sales strategies
● Facilitates discussion to draw out standard processes
● Is humble with swagger, energy and can articulate lessons learned
● Wants to give back to the sales community
● Is open, honest, fun and disruptive
● Passion for the success of sales people
● Ability to work effectively both in-person and virtually
● Comfortable leading virtual and in-person enablement programs of 100+ participants
● Demonstrated ability to, thrive and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, and adapt to growth and change
● Adaptable to new ideas
Education:
● Bachelor’s degree/foreign equivalent in a related discipline or substantial relevant on the job experience
