We are looking for a Director of Client Partnerships for the West region with an established record of sales leadership and revenue generation as well as a deep interest and passion for digital media, music, podcasts and innovation. In this role, you will oversee our Ad Sales efforts in the West region with a focus on the San Francisco Bay Area, Pacific Northwest and Rocky Mountain region. Fortune 150-500 brands within the region will be the primary focus for this role. We want someone who loves our product, knows the Pacific Northwest and Rocky Mountain sales market, clients, and agencies. A dynamic sales leader with a growth mindset who can build and execute long-term consultative solutions, lead, empower and grow a sales team of Client Partners.

What you'll do

    • Provide leadership for the dynamic, diverse, and sales team
    • Cultivate deep, value-based relationships with client partners to identify opportunities, strategic motivators, buying process, imperatives, and decision makers that result in profitable new business
    • Use of metrics/data to uncover short term and long term growth opportunities, revenue gaps and potential GTM strategies
    • Manage pipeline, revenue forecasts, sales activity using Salesforce for maximum efficiency and visibility
    • Work in partnership with your Head of Sales, Leadership team and Cross Functional partners to effectively communicate the needs of the clients in your region
    • Maintain high levels of communication and transparency with management, cross-functional teams, and business partners
    • Hire, manage & develop the growing West Sales team including salespeople
    • Proactively identify and seek out client and industry relationships to optimize revenue
    • Experience working clients and agencies across a diverse mix of Enterprise and Mid Market verticals, Performance Clients, & Large (Big 6) and Independent & Performance agencies
    • Represent Spotify in the advertising community and effectively communicate the Spotify’s value proposition and #1 Position in the Audio space
    • You will work out of our San Francisco office

Who you are

    • You have 10+ years of Ad Tech & Marketing Sales experience and 5+ years of Management
    • You are an experienced sales leader in the San Francisco, Pacific Northwest and Rocky Mountain regions
    • A proven track record of mentoring a team to exceed their goals
    • You have a deep understanding of the marketing landscape and expertise in account planning, strategic planning, and media buying within Direct & Programmatic environments
    • You have experience running a team where Data/Insights drive the direction of the business
    • You have strong agency holding company & brand direct relationships
    • You are highly motivated, entrepreneurial, energetic, and willing to thrive in a high growth organization
    • You are able to hit and exceed quarterly revenue expectations
    • You have excellent problem solving, negotiating skills and are agile in an ever changing landscape
    • You lead with transparency, accountability and have a desire to win
