The Role

    • The Vice President of Business Development & Partnerships is pivotal to our growth strategy and responsible for all partnerships across Bitly. These partnerships are designed to accelerate the growth of our user base, achieve core business objectives, and drive new revenue. This person will be responsible for the development of new strategic relationships and the cultivation of existing partnerships. As the leader of Business Development & Partnerships, you will work with key functions within Bilty to foster these relationships through a combination of your existing network, current strategic partners, and outbound outreach.
    • This critical role will report to our President and work closely with other leaders within the organization to create an effective partner program at-scale. We are looking for a strong leader who can develop, steer, and lead complex relationships and effectively drive commercial success with our partners. The ideal candidate will have the ability to shift seamlessly between the long-term strategic development of our overall partnership program and the tactical execution of key individual partner relationships.

What You’ll Do

    • Lead the identification, engagement, structuring and negotiation of third-party partnerships to drive strategic and commercial success
    • Create a comprehensive strategy for new partnerships, prioritization, and structuring from the ground up, while fostering growth of our existing partnership ecosystem
    • Explore additional technical integrations that would add value to existing customers, attract prospects, and position Bitly as a well-integrated tool within the B2B technology space
    • Work closely with internal stakeholders and decision makers to manage strong relationships with our partners
    • Conduct market and competitive analysis in partnership with Bitly’s senior leadership team to inform strategic priorities and capitalize on emerging market trends
    • Build a team that supports acquisition and on-going management of our partnership relationships
    • Lead the development of detailed integration plans, prioritization and milestones
    • Assist in the creation and tracking of integration budgets
    • Prepare regular partnership and integration updates as part of the company leadership team

Who You Are

    • 10+ years working in Business Development, Partnerships, and Strategy, preferably at a SaaS company
    • Demonstrated experience navigating large strategic partnerships with a clear point of view on how deals can be optimally structured and managed
    • Builder and growth mindset with experience scaling partnerships from inception to execution
    • Previous experience working with senior leaders to develop and execute strategic partnership roadmaps
    • Ability to shift seamlessly between long-term strategic development of our partnership program and tactical execution of key partner relationships
    • Strong experience with internal stakeholder management, creating alignment across various cross-functional teams
    • Strong project management and problem solving skills
    • Hyper organized go-getter with experience in getting things done
    • Must have an entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for working in less structured environments

Final compensation will be determined based on experience and skills and may vary from the range listed above.
