About the role:
This role is open across multiple organizations within OfferUp. Depending on fit and preference, placement into individual teams will happen later in the cycle.
The Marketplace Org is responsible for presenting the most relevant content to users and for helping buyers find what they are looking for on OfferUp. Different teams are responsible for how users post items for sale, how we show the most accurate and relevant content to users, how we power up search and how we enable seller-to-buyer communication in our different clients.
The Monetization Org is responsible for driving revenue across opportunities in OfferUp. The teams span across a wide range of initiatives such as first and third-party advertising, promoted products, a robust automobile program, and some unannounced programs.
As a Senior Software Development Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and deploying multiple features with high operational excellence. Your responsibilities will include everything from design to writing well-architected and thoroughly tested code to rolling out the feature by analyzing metrics. You also get to take ownership beyond your technical area by working with cross-functional team members and helping set up good coding patterns.
