Job Description
This position will report to the director of warehouse operational optimization in corporate logistics North America (NA). This individual will work as a senior logistics project leader for the North America region. The primary focus will be to oversee the overall supply chain and logistics strategy in order to maximize process efficiencies and productivity. This role will lead cross-functional teams to analyze and realize both new warehouse business opportunities and the optimization of existing distribution value streams.
- Responsible for developing and managing cross-functional projects with a high level of complexity through strategic analysis, project approval, implementation and stabilization.
- Defines and understands the strategic scope and objectives of the project based business requirements and logistic optimization.
- Develops, implements and measures sustainable process improvements.
- Collaborates and aligns closely with finance and controlling to ensure accuracy and transparency regarding costs and profitability.
- Responsible for establishing and executing a work plan for complex projects and in ensuring proper change management for sustainable implementation.
- Completes required tasks within project to ensure budget and schedule are maintained.
- Identifies and analyzes deviations to targets and implements corrective actions.
- Manage internal communication of project status. Prepares and coordinates regular status reports and steering meetings to keep project on track to meet goals.
- Coordinates multiple work-streams impacting project delivery date.
- Maintains compliance of project documentation and quality gates as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree required, preferably focused in Project Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain or Industrial Engineering.
- 5+ years of relevant project management experience, preferably within logistics and supply chain functions.
- Broad supply chain experience such as new product introduction, supply planning, warehouse operations and lean warehouse design.
- In-depth knowledge of supply chain engineering operations and best practices
- Very good analytical, creative, and communicative skills to analyze problems and problem solving methodologies.
- Identify business obstacles (through analysis) and produce actionable solutions. Proven track record of delivering project deliverables.
- Process improvement (CIP) experience including techniques such as Lean, Six Sigma, PDCA, process mapping, procedure development and documentation.
- Use of the project management approach for planning and managing designated project.
- Candidate must be able to manage multiple tasks and activities at one time.
- Teamwork skills - Candidate must be flexible in their work style and be able to work with stakeholders and colleagues at all levels.
- Use of analytical reporting tools such as Tableau/Power BI
- Travel up to 30%
