The Data Product Manager will play a vital role transforming Mosaic’s data analytics capabilities to support our fast growing retail lending business in the clean energy space but also contribute to the vision/execution of future data-as-a-service offerings and capabilities. The Data Analytics Product Manager will be responsible for developing innovative business analytics products and delivering high quality, differentiated data solutions across the following data analytics capabilities:

  • Lead definition, design and delivery of new data products for internal stakeholders, Mosaic customers and partners.
  • Drive discovery from both a qualitative and quantitative context to build solid, data driven, business plans and strategies.
  • Conceive value-adding insight, predictions, and recommendations to drive growth, optimize profit and returns.
  • Understand the drivers of business results and how data/analytics can accelerate outcomes; drive theory to execution with business partners to directly impact results.
  • Prepare and maintain the data analytics product roadmap for short- and long-term releases.
  • Design and deploy datasets that can be leveraged as the single source of truth for all reporting, analytics, and as well as future monetization.
  • Develop user/persona focused delivery of insights, that drives usage and impact.
  • Unlock new value through data sharing / data exchanges with external parties.
  • Continually, succinctly, and clearly communicate progress and results against the data/analytics roadmap within the team and with peers.
  • Investigate and leverage - Continually “bring the outside in” to learn and deploy best practices from other organizations or industry forums.
  • Be responsible for requirements backlog and roadmap for products.
  • Manage cross-functional teams in a matrix organization, ensure on-time delivery, communicate effectively with sponsors, stakeholders and project teams.
  • Work with data team members and Agile scrum teams on design, definition, documentation and implementation of features for new applications, business infrastructure, data security, and data structure.
  • Document and enter user stories in Jira and assist in story point analyses.
  • Document monitor and revise the following artifacts in support of application development: product requirements, process maps, use cases, user acceptance test plans, project plans, and release notes.
  • Collect and analyze data to determine product direction and define business requirements.
  • Coordinate and participate in user acceptance testing of functional requirements.
  • Serve as the internal and external subject matter expert for data analytics product offerings.
  • Serve as the first line in assisting Data, Engineering and IT in the resolution of issues and roadblocks hindering data analytics product delivery.
  • Assist in creating product training and documentation materials in support of the implementation and launch of data analytics products.

Skills And Experience

  • 5-7 years combined experience in data product development and building with preferably 3+ years in lending, banking and/or financial services.
  • Strong data analytics background with a demonstrated ability to translate business needs into creative and engaging output. Working knowledge of business intelligence/reporting tools with related experience analyzing data as well as writing queries and reports.
  • Proficiency with software development methodologies such as Agile and experience working with Scrum teams.
  • Experience with Agile software development tools such as Jira or other Agile reporting tools.
  • Demonstrated capabilities in technical-oriented business analysis techniques and user acceptance testing processes/methodologies in complex, diversified, global organizations.
  • Recent involvement in the day-to-day tasks of the user acceptance testing process.
  • Ability to interpret requirement documents and update test documents accordingly.
  • Aptitude for understanding, digesting and analyzing complex systems integration.
  • Bachelor's Degree, Computer Science or Engineering preferred. MBA a plus.
  • Excellent communications skills, both oral and written. Must be able to communicate effectively and confidently with users, team members and management.
