Job Description

1. Identify Procurement needs.

S/he has to determine procurement needs of the organization.

Work with other sectors to forecast demand and evaluate inventory levels, and take orders from within the organization.

2. Join the critical management team (CMT) to cooperate with international members from different stakeholders (BU planning team, Sales & Marketing, engineering team, global purchasing, etc).

3. Lead the team of procurement (senior) buyers.

Lead the team and assist them with the daily issues.

Supports the team members in escalation process with supplier.

Advise them with the supplier’s issues (if support needed).

Conflict management between team members and provide feedback on job performance.

4.Support the team on below areas:

Negotiate with supplier.

Inventory Management.

Supplier Management.

Supplier’s projects handling (e.g. Supplier development, special improvement projects – buffer stock set up, e-Kanban, consignment, VMI, EDI (ASN) etc.).

Support shortage escalation btw LOS, production planning, PUR and supplier.

5. Others

Detect malfunction processes and initiate process improvement within procurement organization.

Bottleneck management.

Escalation management.

Support HoD in deploying company/plant/department strategies and polices.

Qualifications

1. At least college degree.

2. Recommended: 5+ Years of experience in Supply Chain (Purchasing and Logistics) + 2 years supervising experience.

3. Core skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English and Chinese)

Advanced skills with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Power Point

Strong negotiation skills

Knowledge of SAP platform (MM Module)

Attention to details

Analytic and systematic approach

Good problem solving capabilities

Basic set of leadership skills

Capable of making a decisions within defined responsibilities
