Job Description

The Key Account Manager is accountable for development, growth, and implementation of sales strategy and effective account management for OEM customers. Focus will be placed on growth of existing specialty service tool programs along with business development activities. This includes identifying complex customer solutions and assisting Sales leadership with the preparation and presentation of these solutions. This position is responsible for strengthening customer relationships and increasing customer satisfaction.

The successful candidate will have extensive industry and product knowledge along with a history of successful sales and existing customer relationships in the Off-Highway/Industrial/Commercial Truck space.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Regularly visit customer and develop positive relationships with key contacts at account site(s) and within the customer’s sales force.
  • Network within customer organization to create awareness of total Bosch Service Solutions’ capabilities and resources. Anticipate customer needs, conduct research, and offer creative solutions.
  • Prepare and present customer proposals to decision-makers and other approval committees.
  • Work closely with Bosch Engineering and Product Area Teams to turn customer requirements into solutions.
  • Act as voice of customer within Bosch to ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Monitor program status to ensure Bosch and Customer milestones are met.
  • Assist in tech suites, trade shows, and other product and capabilities presentations.
  • Champion selected marketing initiatives with OEM customer.
  • Support leadership with Revenue, Margin, and Forecasting for specific account group or business unit within assigned OEM business team.
  • Effectively communicate information within the customer sales team, customer account staff and Bosch Service Solutions management on a regular basis.
  • Develop customer-specific programs to prevent excess and obsolete inventory.

Qualifications

  • Good knowledge of Transportation tool and equipment channels in the industry.
  • Above average analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree (in Business, Marketing, Engineering or Automotive Technology)
  • 3+ years of related work experience
  • Effective communicator using written, verbal, listening and presentation with the ability to tailor approach to audience.
  • Good initiative and ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and sell mechanical and electrical products.
  • Demonstrated experience and success working in a fast paced, collaborative, complex team environment.
  • Proven track record of meeting commitments with the highest standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Ability to multi-task to effectively handle numerous projects, initiatives and issues.
  • Proficient in MS Office. Experience with SAP and Salesforce a plus – not required.
  • This position is for U.S. work authorized individuals only. Sponsorship for work authorization is not available.

This position requires the associate to regularly travel to a customer site in Moline, IL.
