Snowflake’s ‘Snowmaker’ program provides an opportunity for Sales Engineering careers for individuals who have the interest and the aptitude but lack the credentials.
It is a five-month technical and soft skills training academy for individuals interested in a technical pre-sales career path. The program is designed to attract motivated, technically-inclined candidates who today may not meet the traditional requirements of the sales engineering role. With this program, we support and develop untapped talent, and introduce new and diverse candidates to Snowflake. During the five-month training period, candidates will receive instructor-led training, job shadowing, and mentoring from sales and pre-sales peers and leaders. Upon successful completion, candidates will be assigned to a Sales Engineering team.
At Snowflake, we have high regard for our sales engineers. Snowflake is all about the technical win. We cannot win commercially without technical success.
A Sales Engineer, or SE, is a person who sees what others believe to be impossible, solves problems others don’t know they have, and shows an insatiable sense of curiosity to learn and improve. Snowflake engineers push the pace of innovation with a focus on quality. Embracing and growing through the power of many, they bring different experiences and ideas together to put team, product, and customer at the forefront. Our Sales Engineers are customer centric and we believe in the value we can add and stay honest about it. Our Enterprise Snowmaker program offers future sales engineers the opportunity to break into the data management world. This full time five-month program offers comprehensive technical and sales skills training through a combination of remote learning and classroom sessions, shadowing and mentorship. Upon successful completion of the program, you will join our Enterprise Sales Engineering organization.
Our program begins mid February 2023.
