This role is in the gum mint confection product development team, to deliver product intiatives -- innovation/renovation/value leadership -- for gum, mint and confection business to support the support the short and long term goal

What are we looking for?

• MS degree in Foods, Nutrition, chemistry or equivalent
• Previous working experience in Foods company (>3Y), well knowledge of confections would be preferred, experiences in project management and technical activation is desirable
• Strong understands of China Foods industry, market & consumer Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
• Good at written & oral English
• Goal-oriented, self-motivated, proactive, fast learning, work under pressure and curious for technology & consumer

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Formula and product development for gum, mint and confection category, sit in cross functional project team (marketing, supply, quality et.al) as independent product spoke in innovation, renovation and value leadership projects;
• Follow innovation process and be responsible for quality delivery of each PD tasks based on project timeline—prototyping, formula development, material qualification, factory trial and required documentation; ensure products and ingredients compliance with China local regulatory and Mars internal policy;
• Lead the activities and discussion under product development topic, perform technical risk assessment, lead change management discussion, and define product defect AQL et. al;
• Monitoring competitive market, ensure robust consumer & competitor insights and understanding as key local inputs for category product & claim development;
• Irritative prototyping for gum mint and confection NPD ideation and pipeline building in daily work;
• Work closely with cross function, to provide consolidated technical fundamentals to support brand activities, consumer complaints, manufacturing and quality problem solving;
• Be responsible to develop training materials when necessary, primarily to cross functional partners and new joiners;
• Proactively build and maintain good relationship with key stakeholders, global R&D team, external supplier and partners;
