As a Software Engineer, you will be an important part of our unique project with over 1,000 employees worldwide and develop first-class software and system solutions for the future together with us today!

Our goal: To be able to take your hands off the steering wheel, let the vehicle do the driving and reach your destination safely and relaxed without stress.

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer for the development of software and system solutions in the field of autonomous driving (L3/L4).

You will be part of an agile team developing functions and algorithms which will be part of next generation SW stack for autonomous driving features. From generating a cutting-edge environment model based on various sensor data, interpretation and prediction of generic traffic situations as well as identification of driving strategies, you will play a crucial role within prototype design, software development, system tuning and validation.

Your main duties will be:

  • Requirements derivation from the requesting sub-system down to module level
  • Software development and testing in both embedded system and software-in-loop environment by complying with automotive software development process
  • Prototype design and concept development for functions within our autonomous driving SW stack like stationary and dynamic environment modeling algorithms with multi-sensor data or analysis and modelling driving situations, as well as behavior & reaction patterns
  • Communication with safety experts, product feature owners and customers for system and sub-system requirements elicitation
  • Validation, tuning and iterative development process of the algorithms with large dataset
  • Work in an international environment, collaborate closely with internal and external development teams.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or an equivalent.
  • 3+ years of academic or professional experience in software programming
  • 1+ year of academic or professional experience in C+
  • 1+ year of experience in developing ADAS or AD functions for SAE L2 or higher.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of driver assistance sensor technologies and functions
  • Comfortable with in-vehicle test activities.
  • Experience with automotive software engineering principles and processes along the V-Model: requirements engineering, architecture, design, implementation, and testing
  • Experience with radar sensor, ultrasonic sensor, lidar sensor, or video camera
  • Experience in one of the following topics:
    • sensor data fusion, lane detection, drivable space estimation, localization and mapping, vehicle dynamics and motion control, trajectory optimization, prediction and planning of dynamic object movement
  • Experience with Automotive Development Standards like ASpice or CMMI
  • Experience in software integration and software refactoring
  • Good communication skills to discuss issues / solutions with team and external customers.
  • Capable to work independently in an organized and structured fashion.
