Your Mission

We’re looking for an experienced Frontend Engineer to join our Content Engineering squad. You will be helping us to build out our customer-facing applications where users can learn about and get excited about Tray.io

As a Senior Engineer, you will own the technical design and development of complex features. You also understand what it takes to deliver good, scalable, and secure software, including the ability to maintain and evolve our technical roadmap. In addition to writing good quality code, you are aware of engineering best practices and bring these to life in your day-to-day operation and actively share these with your peers to bring them on the journey too!

You are the kind of person who is passionate about building applications that have an attractive interface but also have UX at the heart of the design. You will work as part of a friendly, close-knit agile team who help each other solve problems every day.

As a team, we also invest in ensuring quality and continuous delivery. Test Automation and Monitoring allow us to deliver more often and confidently .

What you will do

• Work day-to-day in an agile team with the Engineering Manager, Engineers, and Product Owner to continually ship improvements to the applications we are responsible for.
• Pair programming with other engineers in the team
• Create components that scale and can be consumed by different platforms, and browsers, with the ultimate goal of helping us to deliver our very own design system.
• Have a strong sense of ownership of your work Write tests alongside your code that help us to develop scalable and maintainable applications
• Assist with the continual deployment of our applications into production, taking ownership across the full life cycle.
• Mentoring junior developers.
• Contributing to our documentation suite (READMEs or Wiki) to help ensure our solutions and technical decisions are capture.

About You

• Strong front-end experience with Javascript, React, and Typescript
• Experience with Next.js or similar
• You care deeply about usability, accessibility, and performance
• You are passionate about building interfaces and components that are both functional and attractive
• Experience building applications that are powered by a CMS
• Strong testing experience, TDD - Unit (Jest and React Testing Library), E2E (Playwright)
• Experience with GraphQL and/or working with REST APIs
• Mentoring experience
• Experience of working in a team that operates a Continuous Delivery Model (CI/CD)
