Job Description

The software engineer will focus on designing, coding, and executing system test cases for vehicle communication gateway modules. The engineer will also focus on coordination of test activities in North America as well as off-shore locations. Projects include Vehicle Communication Gateways, Body Control Modules, Perfectly Keyless, Zone ECUs, Powernet Guardian etc. ...

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, code, and execute test cases for next generation vehicle communication gateway modules
  • Define new test strategies to support autonomous and connected vehicle platforms
  • Ensure cyber security of module by working on fuzz testing, penetration testing, IDS, etc.
  • Test FOTA requirements for various OEM vehicle architectures
  • Complete test case implementation in C/C++ using Visual Studio
  • Evaluate the test results and publish release reports
  • Interact with local and global development teams
  • Document test case designs in DOORS
  • Collaborate with design team on special test cases for failure analysis and electronic component evaluation

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's of Science in Engineering discipline or Computer Science or foreign equivalent
  • Internship or Co-op experience in an engineering environment

Preferred:

  • Master's of Science in Engineering discipline or Computer Science or equivalent
  • 0-2 years of system engineering experience in the field of system testing of embedded control modules
  • In depth knowledge of programming C in a Windows environment is required
  • Experience in C++ and .NET preferred
  • Practical understanding of in-vehicle communication protocols like CAN, CAN-FD, FlexRay and automotive Ethernet strongly preferred
  • Previous experience of in-vehicle diagnostics
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
  • Excellent team player and skills in interacting with global clients
