Position title: Maintenance Technician

Location: Hillegom, NL

Reports to: Technical Department Leader

Contract type: Permanent, full-time (3 shifts)

Job Summary

As a Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for reactive and preventive maintenance activities in our automated production site in Hillegom, where we produce hygiene consumables for brand Rubbermaid Commercial Products. You will be part of Technical Department Team of 4 people, working on 3 shifts (Mon-Fri) that rotate on a weekly basis.

Key responsibilities:

• Carry out reactive and preventive maintenance on the production machines to ensure the correct operation of the machines and to ensure that the machines are always ready for use
• Repairs of the machines (pneumatics, mechanical adjustment work, sensors, controls...)
• Look for the cause of a defect and formulate proposals to prevent defects in the future
• Make adjustments to the machine park according to guidelines of the Leader
• Upon delivery of a new machine, follow up the start-up until the first qualitative product is delivered
• Report about the adjustments/improvements to machines
• Keep consumption lists of parts
• Share knowledge and experience with colleagues

Minimum Qualifications:

• Diploma at MBO technology level
• Experience (including internships) in mechanics and electricity and a strong interest in electronics and pneumatics
• Basic knowledge of English, alternatively - advanced in English, Dutch speaking is a plus.

Preferred:

• Team player but also able to carry out mechanical and electrical repairs independently
• Positive, can-do attitude
• Customer-oriented towards colleagues at Production & Warehouse
• Pro-active, seeking ideas for improvement and willing to share them
• Experience in an industrial environment is a plus
