Position Summary:
Project Manager to provide expertise required to develop, coordinate, and implement all assigned projects from concept through close-out, recommend, review, and execute continuous improvement through capital execution regarding cost reduction, capacity, efficiency, quality, safety and capability, support management initiatives to achieve departmental goals/objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, justify and execute assigned projects
- Lead all aspects of project implementation from start through close-out ensuring budget and timeline parameters are met
- Develop & facilitate accountability for projects including Budgets, labor, SOP, LOTO, and employee training
- Work with management to plan, coordinate, and oversee the implementation of approved projects. Tasks to include:
a. Soliciting quotes, costs, and lead times for vendors, equipment, and supplies for the project (Developing URS)
b. Research, selection, design, and purchase of appropriate vendors, equipment, and supplies for the project
c. Prepare, monitor, complete, and file the necessary documents needed for projects (Project initiation, Appropriation requests, Project plan, NPV cost savings, Microsoft Project, Change management, Hazard assessment)
d. Arrange, schedule, and monitor the supervision of contractors and/or in-house labor through project completion
- Identify, recommend, and justify improvements for: Safety, Quality, Sustainability, Efficiency, and Cost reductions (capacity, batch cycle times, labor, process improvements, resource utilization, material usage)
- Maintain accurate and updated Auto CAD plant layouts of equipment, lines, and tanks\
- Maintain close working relationship with ops management and internal departments and resources. Utilize corporate engineering and internal resources as needed to assist with projects
- Schedule meetings to discuss and update necessary personnel on project status. Ensure that management is constantly updated on project status/changes
- Collaborate and share best practices with project team members and stakeholders for new/existing process/product implementation and enhancements related to production filling and compounding
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
QualificationsEducation:
Bachelor’s in engineering/business or equivalent experience
PMP or PgMP preferred
Experience:
Minimum 5 years Project Management experience
Others:
Foster team environment with the ability to lead self/others and initiate change
Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD, able to learn and navigate SAP
Knowledge of safe design features for equipment and machinery
Knowledge of Clean room/GMP/FDA requirements
