Job Description

The Manager, Business Analyst understands business processes, process analysis/management, and their related IT requirements. Drives the definition, optimization, improvement, and approved changes to new and existing business processes and IT solutions via development of business and functional requirements. Manages process conformance and compliance as appropriate (e.g.SOX). Collaborates with technical teams to prototype, build, test and deliver the solution. Serve as a functional/domain expert on project teams.

Key Activities

  • Help determine the approach and methodology that best suits the task requirements and client environment
  • Serve as a functional/domain expert on the project team
  • Work as a technical support and liaison to designated IT personnel to provide clarification, support and feedback on enhancement requests and regular updates/releases; adhere to release schedules.
  • Be adept at identifying, quantifying, and managing project delivery tasks and risks
  • Extrapolate core project requirements based on client needs and translate the requirements into project documentation
  • Lead the design and associated documentation of multiple IT projects by creating requirements documents, use cases, user stories, workflows, wireframes and mockups.
  • Liaise with the Business to identify Business Needs and development of Business Cases to justify investments.
  • Collaborate with Technical and Business resources through the analysis of Project Demands and provide leadership and support to Project Demand approval.
  • Prepare and execute test scripts and document test results with minimal direction from a lead or project manager
  • Identify and define problems and present options for mitigation
  • Understand the elements of user experience and visual design and the application and benefits of a user-centered design process in the delivery of solutions
  • Contribute to the development of project plans.
  • Coordinate requirements walk-through and sign-offs, verifying with user representatives/stakeholders that use cases and process models accurately portray specific business needs.
  • Maintain a cursory understanding of new and emerging technologies and their potential client applications
  • Evaluate potential software solutions, including off-the-shelf and open source components, and the system architecture to ensure that they meet business requirements.

Functional Skills

  • Strong communication and validation skills. Able to iterate through the requirements in phases. Evidence of staying in alignment with business sponsor, stakeholders, and management.
  • Independent and creative analytical skills and the ability to clearly communicate ideas and confirm understanding.
  • An analytical mind that can break down complex problems into solvable components
  • Demonstrated writing skills

  • Flexibility and enthusiasm for taking on a dynamic portfolio of responsibilities

Technical Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong production capabilities in PowerPoint, Keynote, Word, Excel, JIRA, Confluence
  • Functional knowledge of ERP modules and functionalities (e.g. SAP) – Sales and Distribution
  • Experience with Direct to consumer fulfillment in the APAC Region. Must have experience working with Online platforms, Order Management Systems, and SAP.
  • Experience working with Distribution Organizations.
  • Experience supporting Supply Chain Processes (i.e. Order Management, Distribution, 3PL)
  • Experience working with (or, ability to quickly learn & master) a variety of technologies.
  • Experienced in traditional SDLC and Agile frameworks
  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited universities.
