Robert Bosch Automotive Steering LLC seeks a System Project Lead at its facility located at 15000 N. Haggerty Rd, Plymouth, MI 48170. Act as the system architect and technical counterpart to the Program Manager. Responsible for making sure the technical team understands and fulfills the customer’s electric power steering (EPS) requirements on time. Evaluate customer specifications across Software, Hardware and System, Functional Safety and Security engineering, including support of translating the requirements into Rational DOORS, evaluating requirement and test coverage, and support of issue tracking (Problem Job Management). Generate software, Functional Safety and Security concepts to release system functions requested by the customer. Ensure system development, validation, and delivery are according to guidelines and processes (e.g. ISO26262, ASPICE, IATF 16949). Develop and lead technical realization concepts pertaining to software and function development on advanced Driver Assistance technologies such as Highly Automated Driving (HAD), Autonomous Driving, Lane Keeping, Automatic Parking, and more. Establish, cultivate and maintain a positive customer relationship as technical first point of contact and engineering lead for customer project(s). Budget planning and reporting for project engineering, development and testing costs. Review and approve System FMEAs, Safety Failure Tree Analysis (FTAs) and Software Design Failure Analysis (DFAs). Assist in the creation of technical safety concept. Create and release of TCD (Technical Customer Documentation). 15% domestic and international travel required. Telecommuting may be permitted. When not telecommuting, must report/appear at Robert Bosch Automotive Steering LLC, 15000 N Haggerty Road, Plymouth, MI 48170. REQS: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or related field, plus 3 years of professional work experience in automotive product development. Additionally, the applicant must have professional experience with: (1). Driver assistance technologies and functions; (2). System design and release procedures for electronic power steering; (3). System engineering; (4). Design and validation methods such as DFMEA, DVP&R or DFSS; (5). Product development lifecycle for automotive steering; and (6). Problem solving methods such as 8D, Red X, DFSS. Apply below.
