About the Position
We are hiring a new member for our growing Banking Administration team. This person will primarily focus on managing the banking relationships for Jane Street. This includes opening new accounts with various financial institutions, understanding internal controls, learning to use different banking portals, and acting as the system administrator for these portals.
Additional responsibilities of the role include:
- Opening and maintaining Corporate Bank accounts. This involves ensuring that accounts are appropriately set up, integrated with Workday, and that corporate governance procedures are adhered to
- Setting up, administering, and monitoring user access to the firm’s critical cash portals
- Expanding, centralizing and maintaining our current database of bank accounts and relationships
- Collaborating with various teams within Jane Street to promote the efficient and accurate handling of Jane Street’s capital
- Assisting with credit card administration which includes requesting new cards, managing limits, communicating with third party vendors and coordinating with the bank on fraudulent transactions
- Supporting wires processes, supplier setups in Workday, and electronic document management processes
- Assisting in the process for the Report of Foreign Bank and Financial Accounts (“FBAR”)
- Recommending ways to improve and automate processes
- Providing global coverage of all processes across Jane Street’s offices
About You
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting or relevant field
- Ability to evaluate and test internal controls
- Familiarity with banking portals is a plus
- Technical aptitude with a strong proficiency in Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and organization skills with exceptional follow up skills and a commitment to “getting things done”
- Mature, trustworthy, and discreet, with an understanding of and appreciation for the importance of confidentiality in this role
- Fluency in English required
