The Role

This individual will join a friendly and strongly capable team in our Seoul office and will be responsible for bringing new clients onto our portfolio in Korea. This role reports directly to the Head of Commercial, Korea. This individual will join a very successful team that serves as an integral part of Mintel's business and growth plans. The role requires a hungry, motivated and organized person that is eager to learn and have opportunities for career and knowledge growth within the business and wider industry.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Delivering Results: Working closely with the Senior Business Development Manager to support the wider team to exceed revenue targets on a monthly basis, including hitting monthly meeting number targets.
  • Screening: Identify the potentials of incoming/outbound leads, arrange meetings with those who are highly qualified/interested for BD Teams.
  • Identification and connection of new opportunities: Developing/identifying new customers/opportunities, and linking the opportunities with the New Business Development Team. Those who have an understanding of the bidding process of national institutions and cases of collaboration with national institutions are preferred.
  • Nurturing: Proactively engage with on-hand prospects, identify key influencers or decision makers, and pass to relevant BD individuals
  • Cold calling: Able to establish connections within an organization that Mintel does not have contacts with in the past through cold calls comfortably and confidently
  • CRM: Effectively utilize and analyse Mintel’s CRM system and leverage Mintel’s internal resources
  • Prospecting: Identifying companies and key decision makers within marketing and research divisions to understand their specific objectives and needs. You are skilled at engaging with new people in a way that builds relationships.
  • Building a Pipeline: Leveraging multiple sources to uncover prospects and setting appointments via phone, email, LinkedIn, and other creative methods of outreach to build strong pipeline of opportunities for the team.
  • Growing: Learning the full sales cycle from prospecting to close with support from the team.
