What Is the Opportunity?

We are currently recruiting for a Claim Product Manager to join our team on a permanent basis.
This is an exciting role which offers hybrid working and excellent benefits.
You will work within our Claims team to support the strategy and operations of a line of business product, program or function.

What Will You Do?

  • Develops and implements local strategies that reflect and support Travelers' objectives to address and improve claim results and achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Assists with the identification and escalation of improvement opportunities and understands and assesses barriers to identified areas in need of improvement.
  • Responsible for process review and engineering across multiple business units and locations using lean 6 sigma methodology as appropriate.
  • Proactively keeps abreast of industry developments, changing trends and jurisdictional issues. Assist in industry analysis and benchmarking studies. Attends various seminars and conferences as appropriate.
  • Partners with local Claims and Travelers' Claim University on the development and design of technical claim training strategies, programs and curriculum.
  • Partners with Claim management and Value Added Services to assist in developing and executing a financial management and control strategy to limit financial risk associated with claim costs.
  • Manages the Best Practice programme with responsibility for content and version control.
  • Creates, implements, and maintains claim handling guidelines, policies, procedures and processes.
  • Analyses and assesses results on an ongoing basis to identify trends and areas with significant improvement opportunities and to facilitate discussions with line of business leaders and business partners on product performance and improvement opportunities.
  • Work with Business Intelligence and Actuarial teams to develop appropriate reporting packages and analytic capabilities, ensuring consistency of metrics, KPI's, and analytics methods.
  • Conducts competitive analyses and benchmarking studies.
  • Provides technical knowledge and project coordination on large-scale claim workflow and systems projects.
  • Develops training materials and instruct users on strategies, processes and/or procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

  • Previous relevant work experience gained within an Operational or Insurance environment.
  • Lean 6 sigma qualification
  • Proven track record in identifying and implementing process efficiencies.
  • Previous experience of executing business strategy.
  • Successful track record in developing, coaching and motivating individuals to achieve and exceed goals.
  • Advanced leadership capabilities.
  • Advanced analytical proficiency and able to see the wider picture .
  • Advanced results driven orientation, acts asa champion for change .
  • Advanced communication skills, able to influence key stakeholders at all levels .
  • Advanced ability to maximize individual performance through both personal action and as a team output Advanced self-motivation.

What is a Must Have?

  • Minimum qualification degree level and/or ACII or other relevant professional qualification required.
  • Lean Green Belt

What Is in It for You?

  • Private Medical Insurance: On commencement of employment, you are eligible for single cover provided by Travelers, with the option to add cover for your dependents, at your expense through payroll deduction.
  • Retirement: Travelers will make a basic contribution of 9% of pensionable salary to your Group Personal Pension Plan (“GPPP”). If you decide to contribute an additional amount from your salary, you will receive an increased company contribution up to a maximum of 3%. This would bring the total company contribution to 12%.
