業務内容

サイアプス日本・米国チーム、日本での提携パートナーと共に、日本でのアブストラクション実証プロジェクトを実行します。アブストラクターは、ペーシェントジャーニーをキュレーションする役割を担い、ペーシェントジャーニーの全体像を捉えつつ、時には深く掘りさげて、データをつなぎあわせてペーシェントジャーニーを描いていきます。(アブストラクタ―についての詳細は、こちらのブログエントリーをご覧ください ) 。本プロジェクトでは、米国での幅広いトレーニングプログラムと教材を元に、臨床・ゲノム情報、バイオマーカー、品質管理など、最先端のアブストラクションプログラム構築実証を行います。

プロジェクトについて

本プロジェクトでは、日本の主要ながんセンターでのリアルワールドデータ構築に向けて、日本でのアブストラクション メソッドを開発していきます。プロジェクトは、東京近郊での医療機関での業務およびテレワークを合わせた、フレックスタイムでの勤務が可能です。 10 週間のハーフタイム契約社員から始めて頂きますが、長期契約・正社員へとの雇用へと発展することを想定しています。ゲノム医療をさらに推進するため、日本での RWE 構築・発展へ向けて、出発点となるプロジェクトとなります。

求める人材

日本における RWE の立ち上げに参加頂ける人材を求めています。

• オンコロジー領域での臨床経験があり、医療全般・関連用語の知識がある方。看護師、がん登録実務者、薬剤師、臨床研究コーディネーター、またはそれに類する職種での経験が必要です。
• 電子カルテを使用した経験があり、 IT ・テクノロジーに興味がある方。
• 細部に注意を払い、医療記録から情報を読み解き、探し出すことができる方。
• 論理的・構造的に考えることができ、コミュニケーション能力の高い方。
• 医師、データサイエンティスト、臨床統計家、データアナリストなど組織横断的なチームと協働でき、ある程度の英語力を持っている方。
• 熱意あるチームプレーヤーであり、意欲的なセルフスターターであること。
• 東京近郊 ( 東京から約 1 時間 ) の医療機関での業務、リモートワークを含めて、週 2 ~ 3 日の勤務が可能な方。

Clinical Data Abstractor

Syapse is looking for a clinical data abstractor to join us in our exploration of Japanese cancer patient data. Syapse is the pioneer in the cancer Real World Evidence (RWE) field in the US, and we are working with our Japanese partners to bring cutting edge RWE capabilities to Japan. We seek a self-starter with a medical background (nurse, CTR, RN, CRC) to join us in this project. The hours are flexible.

Abstraction at Syapse

You will work directly with our Japanese subsidiary and the leadership of our US-based abstraction team to develop and execute a proof-of-concept abstraction project. Our Data Insights team is a highly skilled group of Certified Tumor Registrars (CTRs), oncologists, and data analysts who are passionate about using our data programs to make a real difference in patients’ lives. We will introduce you to our extensive training program and materials, and work with you to adapt our knowledge into the Japanese cancer care context. Topics will include data capture, biomarker use, quality control, and general problem solving as together we learn what works best in Japan.

This Project

In this project we will adapt Syapse’s methods to build a data set at a major Japanese cancer center. While we are flexible with the working arrangement, we recommend starting with a half-time contract for 10 weeks. The intent is to grow into a long-term position, either full-time or part-time. The abstraction work will be on-site at a hospital less than an hour from Tokyo Station by train. Syapse’s Japan team is based in Tokyo, and will also work on-site, but much of the collaboration will be remote. Our goal is for this project to be the starting point for a long journey, together changing how RWE is used to promote precision medicine in Japan.

About You

We are looking for an exceptional individual who can join us to start this unique project. We are building something new! If the following points describe you, we’d like to meet you.

• Direct experience working in cancer care, knowledgeable in all aspects of care and related terminology. Experience working as a nurse, clinical abstractor, research coordinator, or in a similar position is required.
• Hands-on experience with an electronic medical records program, and generally skilled with technology.
• With fantastic attention to detail, you consider yourself an expert sleuth at locating information anywhere within the medical record.
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills.
• It is important to have some English speaking ability, as it enables direct interaction with the Syapse US team.
• Enthusiastic team player, who is also a motivated self-starter.
• Able to work on site at our hospital collaborator, 2-3 days a week. (Less than an hour from Tokyo station by train.)
