At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time, others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.

This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or offsites.

This position is not eligible to be performed in Alaska, Mississippi, North Dakota, or the Virgin Islands.

This position will report into the Community Engagement team, a new function within corporate marketing started in April 2022. Our focus is to build a community engagement model that allows GoDaddy to create mutually beneficial relationships across multiple communities through common and scalable programs. Targets will include customers, prospects and constituents within the independent, pro, investor and advocate communities.

In this role you will be responsible for building a mutually beneficial relationship with the domain investor community that measurably supports business objectives – including growing share with our current customers while also attracting new investors. You'll act as a strategic partner to the domain investor business team and ensure your work fully aligns and supports their strategy. To be effective, you will meaningfully engage the investor community and become known as one of its biggest advocates. In turn, the community will act as a positive influence on our brand and our business, enabling more effective brand storytelling, engaging new DRI audiences, and providing counsel back to the business.

You will work alongside other community managers, sharing standard processes and lessons learned as the newly formed Community Engagement team becomes a center of excellence within GoDaddy. This will involve both carrying out your role in support of the DRI business, while also innovating, documenting, and scaling new models of community engagement.

What you'll get to do...

  • Build a long-term vision for where and how GoDaddy will engage in domain investor communities, driven by a strategy with clear critical metrics.
  • Collaborate with other functions across GoDaddy to lead all aspects of domain investor community engagement including social media strategy, blogs, and forums.
  • Deliver meaningful sage guidance to facilitate investor success.
  • Apply all the customer touchpoints within GoDaddy, plus social media and industry reports, to monitor the community pulse and serve as the internal voice of the customer, including the creation of a regular cadence of reporting.
  • Develop content marketing plans aligned with product and business unit goals.
  • Drive strategy and execution for (global) events aimed at engaging the domain investor community.
  • Liaise with customer care to respond promptly to investor needs and concerns.
  • Leverage deep understanding of domain investing to proactively engage with investors.
  • Work closely and effectively with Go-To-Market and Public Relations teams.

Your experience should include...

  • Crafting and implanting high impact community or marketing programs.
  • Intellectual curiosity and desire to learn new things, techniques, and technologies.
  • Deep knowledge of the domain investing industry and community.
  • Intermediate social media marketing knowledge.
  • Familiarity with the data points that drive domain purchase decisions (SEO backlinks, age, keywords, search volume).
  • Analytical ability to share data/sage guidance with community to make informed decisions.
  • Experience effectively communicating with the domain investing community.

You might also have...

  • Experience effectively communicating with and persuading C-suite and senior executives, as well as multiple stakeholders across a global company; with the skill to create executive-ready proposals and presentations for company and leadership meetings.
  • The ability to be highly creative, innovative, and resourceful at finding the right stakeholders and building a strong network to facilitate cross-group collaboration. Have a passion for not only the process, but also for the end results and driving business outcomes.
  • The ability to be a nimble, flexible writer skilled in a variety of approaches for engaging audiences.
  • Experience demonstrating cultural awareness and sensitivity with a diverse global audience.
  • The ability to pay fanatical attention to detail and possess the organizational skills required to lead multiple projects and deliverables across many teams and organizations.
  • Experience demonstrating a sincere desire for feedback and constructive criticism, with resilience and the ability to respond to feedback constructively.
  • Experience demonstrating strong analytic, oral/written communication, project management, multi-tasking, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the executive maturity vital to be an exemplary and respectful representative of the senior leadership team, with an audience of any level.
  • Comfortability dealing with ambiguity and demonstrate the ability to exercise effective judgment, particularly in narrow timeframes.
  • Experience showing resilience in the face of feedback, deadlines, and multiple objectives. This role is one-part innovation, one-part execution.

We've got your back... Enjoy our many benefits (My Wallet), which may vary depending on role and tenure, including paid time off, 401k, bonus eligibility, equity grants and parental leave. Join one of our employee resource groups (Culture). Once approved, continue to have a side hustle if you have one (we love entrepreneurs, remember?). Most importantly, come as you are and make your own way.
