Job Description


The purpose of this role is to collect, analyze and use metrics to inform the approach of the Design & Restaurant Development group and to support a team that helps markets excel in the optimization of capital investments in development activities and company wide development strategy, while supporting their achievement of opening/reinvestment plans in line with agreed brand standards.

The successful performance of this role will be critical to the function achieving its goals in the coming years. Close collaboration with market and as relevant BU teams, the role will require the incumbent to be engaged with other members of the Design & Restaurant Development Team and in dialogue/exchange with members in the broader CX & company organization.

The position reports to the Senior Director Investment Optimization & Standards, Global Design & Restaurant Development.

This role is flexible on location or can be based out of any international market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collection/analysis/reporting of development metrics from across markets to advise strategy/activities of Design & Restaurant Development Team and company wide development strategy.
  • Producing development performance analytics and aggregated performance reporting.
  • Supervising targets, development pulse (risk to plan achievement), development quality, risk and return designated against benchmark and objectives, collecting performance dispersion.
  • Creating a basis for internal and external benchmarking and ongoing analyses, aligning measures across functions & markets.
  • Provision of insights and guidance for the pursuit of initiatives with markets to drive optimization of capital investment in development activities.
  • Financial budget support and G&A Controlling for Design & Restaurant Development.
  • Support assurance of supply of critical equipment to markets to allow achievement of their restaurant development activities thru provision of critical demand and communication support.
  • Training of market resources in development finance and development metrics.
  • Provide financial consulting to IRLX (In Real-Life Experience)/New Concept Design Team as may be required to support their design activities.
  • When relevant provide input/insights/support as relevant to key stakeholders from across the organization, working on multi-disciplinary projects.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor’s level degree in finance, business administration or a development field.
  • 5 years minimum proven experience in development or finance preferably with cost management or fixed assets/real estate accounts backgrounds, ideally for a multi-site international operator.
  • Excellent analytical, technical and problem-solving skills and apply critical thinking to provide guidance, advice and inform.
  • Strong oral, written and overall communications skills to make the most complex of ideas, concepts, situations and solutions understandable for all.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills.
