Job Description

Eaton’s corporate team is looking for a Finance Leader – Logistics and Global Trade Management. The preferred location for this position is our Beachwood, OH headquarters, but this position can be based from any of Eaton's major US hubs including the following: Moon Township, PA, Galesburg, MI, Highland, IL, Charlotte, NC, Arden NC, Syracuse, NY, Fort Worth, TX, Tualatin, OR, or Irvine, CA.

As the Finance Leader for Logistics and Global Trade Management (GTM), this role will be the Finance Leader and Finance Business Partner for the Global Procurement Organization (GPO) and Business SCM/Ops teams, with a focus on Logistics (~$1B spend oversight) and GTM. This role will support and partner with the teams to implement, track progress, and achieve Business and Category strategies, supplier monitoring and development, and lead in any process standardization/optimization leading to overall value realization within Logistics and GTM across Eaton. This role is part of the newly created Operations Finance organization within the Supply Chain Finance team and will be expected to work cross functionally across the organization to analyze data and identify opportunities for improvement throughout the Logistics supply base and GTM key focus areas (profitability, cash flow, quality, duties/tariffs, etc.).

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support and partner with the GPO and Business teams, to ensure the achievement of Category / Business strategies, establish/improve Economic forecasting processes, duty and freight accrual process optimization / standardization, and cost avoidance alignment / transparency
  • Identify specific opportunities and actions by leveraging SCM tools, such as should cost and total cost of ownership, that can be taken and to drive accountability to execute actions across the Enterprise
  • Partner with GPO, Business SCM/Ops, and Project Management teams, on managing the project pipeline and project hopper progression to ensure financial commitments are achieved
  • Lead efforts in determining and achieving Logistics and GTM targets for the annual Profit Plan, which includes specific goals and objectives for each Business and Category
  • Coordinate and lead monthly Actual and Forecast reviews with the GPO and Business SCM/Ops teams for Logistics and GTM, regarding supplier and category cost out performance, cost avoidance, as well as economic impacts for each of the Logistic modes (Ocean, Air, Truck, Parcel, etc.)
  • Lead and coordinate efforts to ensure a consistent approach across the Enterprise related to freight and duty accruals
  • Develop and maintain meaningful and actionable reporting on Logistics and GTM performance including spend, cost out, cost avoidance, supplier price increase requests, payment terms, and compliance at the Business and Category levels
  • Support and partner with the applicable teams to implement and update policies, procedures, systems and programs that apply to Logistics and GTM
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance or related from an accredited institution required
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in Accounting and/or Finance
  • Experience with financial systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred
  • Minimum 10+ years of professional experience
  • Experience with SAP, Oracle, or Hyperion HFM preferred

Position Criteria:

  • Strong FP&A and finance operations experience, including cost accounting and productivity analysis
  • Strong analytical skills and continuous improvement mindset
