Senior Associate, Software Asset Managment

Job Description

KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Associate, Software Asset Management in CIO Advisory for our Consulting practice.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high quality professional day-to-day execution of various Software Asset Management (SAM) engagements including SAM current state assessments, software license optimization reviews and SAM tool implementations/integrations
• Analyze clients' SAM processes and standards, current inventory datasets and SAM toolsets to identify gaps and opportunities for optimization and remediation
• Strong understanding and experience with the ServiceNow platform
• Review entitlement documentation such as purchase orders and vendor entitlement summary reports
• Familiarity with discovery and inventory sources such as CMDB, SCCM, ILMT, VMware to analyze deployments with the goal of building license positions for various software vendors
• Identify cost optimization opportunities and risk remediation recommendations
• Lead client meetings to discuss license position, optimization and remediation activities and obtain feedback on findings
• Day-to-day operations of SAM tools (such as Flexera or ServiceNow) and familiarity in configuration options to provide automated license reporting
• Provide junior team members insight on technical and licensing problems and provide guidance on how to complete complex deliverables
• Build trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders

Qualifications:

• Minimum of four years of experience in software asset management including SAM tool implementations/integrations and software license analysis reviews
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
• Strong understanding with the SAM lifecycle, processes and best practices
• Experience with data analysis tools including Excel, Access and Sequel
• Experience with market leading SAM tools such as Flexera, ServiceNow or SNOW
