About this role

Production Oversight & Governance – Team Overview

The Production Oversight & Governance (POG) team, a member of the Technology & Operations Data & AI function, is tasked with applying a production focused risk assessment of processes that affect data and analytics reporting for internal BlackRock users and the BlackRock Solutions (BRS) Aladdin client community. The team has three (3) focus areas:

Business Intelligence - increase operational intelligence by providing transparency into data factory production processes.

Process Stewardship - assess the scalability and standards of processes crafted to meet data needs of clients based on operational policies.

Problem Management - accountable owner for continuous improvement in the data factory.

We’re looking for a diverse team member to use their industry experience to improve our problem management workflow and strategy!

Key Responsibilities

• Acts as primary lead for Process Stewardship, managing the hand-off process from the implementation teams to Production teams.
• Proactively communicate with different stakeholders for new transitions and manage expectations with the implementation teams.
• Lead the transition effort end to end, first by reviewing the deliverable internally, scrubs and support it for a week and then hand off to the production team..
• Get involved in the Change Management effort, ensuring a better Change Management process is in place and capturing all changes that impact the data factory.

Knowledge/Experience

• Industry experience in Change Management domain preferred.
• Demonstrate ability to identify, collect and analyze data to improve performance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organization and time management skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Solid project management skills and desire for continuous improvement.
• Prior experience using ServiceNow ITSM tool preferred.
• Ability to empower/guide a team but still work effectively as an individual contributor.
• Ability to handle ever increasing responsibility and assignments with growing complexity.
• Shows initiative on assignments, and professionally executes projects with little direction.
• Data visualization expertise in Tableau, PowerBI and/or Grafana preferred.
